| I beta tested it and I tried one of those free weeks that people who buy the game can give a friend. After beta testing for about a week it bored me to tears and it was actually painful to play so I quit. When I tried the free trial (assuming it would have improved) I quit after about 20 min. I went to a base, got a vehicle, watched it autodrive and then get stuck in a wall. I had no way of jumping out or anything so I had to alt-f4. Never did reload the game. There was no incentive in the game and the leveling system was pointless since you could just make a new char and join in that same battle with different specs. |

Was FAR from the best FPS. The concept was great.Game play was ok.Average FPS shit. They would have had a major hit if they charged half what they were asking. The Lattice system was a nice addition IMO.But for some reason I had a lot more fun without it. The exp after release was absolute garbage. No incentive to actually level past 12 last time I played. I KNOW it was a FPS...But some sorta items would have been nice.Control of certain bases or "dungeons" lets say should garner you stronger weapons or something. HATED the random aiming.I aim for your head.I should hit your head. But I understood the reasoning behind it. Also..wasnt there already mechs?

Their "anti-grief" system blows. Quote:
I also agree. some sort of permanancy would have been felt if they added some rare items, armor....make it a little MMORPG "ish". If they made the game moreof a MMORPG/FPS hybrid....it would have rocked. Its just Quake on steroids. Last edited by Warrik : 07-22-2004 at 06:09 PM.

+2 Internets | I enjoyed the game quite a bit in beta, and have no gripes about the game mechanics, graphics or any of the setup. The monthly fee was what killed it for me. It was way too high considering all the alternatives that were free, although not on as grand a scale. |
