To get into the "beta" you have to send them 3 bucks... looks like more of a scam then anything. Either that, or the game was so good the developers touched themselves to often and bled to death.

Uh, we had to pay to get into the UO beta also way back in 1997. In fact the only reason UO got the funding it did in the end was because the EA execs saw people were willing to pay to play their unfinished game.
