+5 Internets | Uqua = unchanged For the 2.17 of you out there that still actually give a rat's ass about EQ the word on the street is that Uqua (AKA monkey-wrench in the GoD progression scheme) is unchanged as of today's patch. SOE doesn't seem committed to finishing GoD, by now they realize that they blew an excellent opportunity to capitalize on their 5th anniversary by building on the unexpectedly positive reviews that GoD got from the community. The celebrities that came back and started to care about EQ again (and who brought with them thousands of dollars of free advertising on popular websites like this one) have all turned away again. SOE is just stringing along the junkies at this point, trying to milk their last hit for all its worth. The sad sad truth is that the roaring reaction to the first month of GoD indicates how easy it would be to seize marketshare back once again if SOE were run with an eye to success by having the best possible product. They choose to maximize the margins by making as little effort as possible instead of being a roaring success by simply being the best. Its a crying shame and I imagine that Sigil and Blizzard are taking careful notes and laughing their asses off. |

| Yes people still play Everquest. Its getting a little old though to see people like Kudos making that stupid comment on every Everquest thread.

| Its getting a little old to see people making stupid comments about how SOE doesnt fix anything in EQ when it's been obvious for the last 4-5 years from reading so many rants about it that they dont give a shit. If you still play eq you are just setting yourself up for dissapointment, if you want to believe that or not is up to you.

More likely the content isn't finished for anything above this zone? Seemed to be the case in all the times they've done this in the past. But maybe they've finally just said "Fuck it, everything else comes out in less than a year anyway"

| GoD was amazing ... for one week, I concur SoE blew an opportunity to rise its faction with hardcore gamer (you know those people that have been player for 5 years, buying every single expansion on their 2, 3 or 4 accounts). I'm still playing, still raiding every night or so, today we gave a shot at Uqua and realised ... nothing much changed, I guess we won't be back till next patch. I wonder if Uqua and beyond will be ready before all the player with the patience, gear and skill to do it quit or after ... At the moment, all the raiding content beyond Tipt trial is broken in a way or another, and it was supposed to be an expansion to please raiding guild ? come on, put back all your developpers that are working on the next game / add-on on this before your customer that are incredibly patient just give up and never come back. |

Each add on more and more guilds hit the 'hard cap'. There is no raid content except for the top geared guilds, and those guilds are immedialtly stuck on uqua.

+1 Internets | The zone was heavily live patched a day or so ago. The changes are subtle, but very apparent if you spent any time in the zone in its previous incarnations. So I don't have a clue where you got your facts from.

| This zone is still garbage. I'm quite sure the original poster ment that the "subtle changes" were just hilarious and nowhere near enough to fix this zone. Uqua is more than retarded, and will continue to be so until its either completely removed from progression or everything inside is made mezzable.

+1 Internets | The zones difficulty after the patch is fine. The zone is tough, but very doable. My only two concerns are Barxt ( Boss ) which may still be a tad out of reach for guilds low on clerics (heh who isn't these days?) , and the lockout timers. A failure on barxt = game over...you then have damn near a week lockout timer. This makes zero sense. I don't mind the boss being difficult, but getting 1 shot a week? At least Coirnav respawned a few hours later if you didn't make it to a certain point. If the rate at which loot enters the game is the reason for this , than "the shadow of Barxt" ala time could spawn instead without loot. The zone while doable, is extremely annoying. I sincerely doubt guilds are going to be farming it for loot heh. Once we get past it, we're done with it excluding reflagging. As far as the above posters comment about making everything mezzable. That would completely and totally trivialize the zone.
