| Beta Chars in Lineage 2 Open Beta characters will NOT- that is right NOT - be deleted when the game goes live. if you purchase the game at release and are in the open beta, you get to keep your open beta chars and give yourself a month long headstart. Quote:

If you were going to play this game anyway at release, you can play now. All chars from Alpha/Beta were wiped today or yesterday, haven't played in a while.

The rewards for PvE players are limited, for PvP, the sky is the limit. Yes this game sucks for PvE players, I personally hate it. But it's no grind. The level limit is currently 75, probably be raised to 100, and it took me less than 2 weeks to hit 30. Never could say that about EQ, or any other mmorpg I've played. But there's only so much fun (for me anyway) in raiding the elves or humans every couple of days. But that doesent mean I'm such a jackass I can't realize it's appeal to the 1000 people who played it 24/7 during limited alpha and Beta. Seemed to me they found it quite addictive.

| Bad aspects: -Item progression is linear off store bought items for a lonnnnng time. I don't know if it ever changes, but I'd assume so. -XP grind. While you may level moderately fast until about 40, it is zero fun. Solo'ing is best xp until you're 20's, so expect to be standing in a field, killing the same handful of models over and over. By the high teens, you need like 300/400 kills per level. -Karma. PK someone and they don't fight back? Have fun dieing 20 times or killing tons of mobs to lower your karma so you don't drop your gear when you die. -Memory leak (?). This games performance drops sharply after I play for about an hour and a half. Goes from consistent 25-30 fps to stuttering slideshow. Good aspects: -Beautiful graphics. Great use of the Unreal Engine, complete with swaying grass and wind blowing trees. One thing though, there is no weather effects ![]() -PVP at high levels. Guild wars and such seem like a blast, and each class is varied enough skillwise to have unique strategies. Kiting is a problem though. -Nice amount of content. Not much lore wise at all in this game, but theres plenty of zones and a handful of bossmobs over the world. Will I buy it? Eh, maybe, if just because I have nothing better to play, and 2 months free is pretty cool. |

| How can the PvP give you better rewards then the PvE ? The PvP'ers can only kill the other people in the game which are getting crap loot off of the E. So the PvP is in fact geared the same as if they would just stick to PvE. Correct me if I am wrong. |
