The EQ super fuck up!

It is officialy dead the new graphics engine killed off the intel and most ATI and Geforce cards. Now if you want to even log in to your character you have to blow another one hundred bucks to get a SOE endorsed Directx 9.0b compatiable card or your screwed.

Reading the forums since the patch has made me laugh because they just alienated a few hundred thousand people.

They'll probably just say it was a mistake once they see that not many people have capable hardware/won't go out and buy it and then apologize profusely. That's if it doesn't go well. If it goes well and people do buy the card, then they're having a gay old time.

i dont think many in my guild have had problems maybe 2-3 people if that. Patch seems to make eq run a whole hell of alot smoother for me.

Oh n0es, my monitor no longer works either! I have to buy a Sony Magnavox 61' plasma television to play EQ (although I'll have to upgrade for EQ2

I haven't done anything so far except log off and run around King Tormax's room and bank. I don't remember ever getting stopped by the steps when walking up them...

What makes it gay is that they did all these CPU statistic's test and they knew that many people did not have adequete enough Graphics drivers and they knew that their cards would not work with the patch. But leave it to sony to go ahead with it making half their fan-base quit because they dont drop 6K on a computer.

What an incredible clusterfuck of timing; right as the WoW hype reaches a fevered pitch, EQ breaks and pisses off its client base even more. GG SOE.

Odd. My Radeon 9600 XT works fine. Suggestion! Stop using your ATI Rage 128 4 meg superleet vidcard and upgrade to something made within the last half century.
