| I was fiddling with EQPlayNice (warning: large image) And I managed this. I thought it was kind of handy, so if you like to 2 (or five, lol) box alot, try using it. System Resources are in the pic. Pic is down a few posts, edited to protect my friend's sn. Last edited by VelMonk : 03-09-2004 at 01:02 PM. |

| ah yes, but it's a little more than just alt tabbing, yes? Isn't there a three stroke keypress to get the mouse back to the current window? That's what turned me off to the dual instance, one computer thing..... |

| The problem I have been having with running more than 2 at a time is that CTRL ALT S(witch) will only switch between the 2 last used windows, it will not cycle through each one in order. That makes running 3 or more a pain because you must release the mouse to select it from the taskbar.

| I have a logitech optical mouse that has a little button on top, you push it once and it brings up a menu of all the windows, and you can just select the one you want to change to. I run 2 windows of eq and it is VERY convenient. Just 2 quick clicks with my index finger and it switches windows. |

| all the program does is make EQ not render (at full speed, i think it maxes them at like 1fps) the windows that are not active. So the ones that you aren't playing in don't use so many resources. |

Anyways: http://teqim.sourceforge.net It's completely illegal, just FYI. But it's the same as EQWindows.. They won't ban you for it, but don't run around shooting your mouth off. | |

I have not seen someon from Sony say it is legal. EQW was at one time illegal as well, till they added the functionality themselves. If ever Sony does checking for tampering, you will show up as having a "hacked" image. Whether they make the distinction between just running EQCPU or Macroquest who knows.
