Champions of Norrath: Realms Of Everquest

I assume some of you have played this game and im just wondering what yall think of it.

And i was also wondering if anyone has seen any information on a Sequel or an expansion.

Frankly the game rocks but it has sooooo much more potential. I havnt had the chance to try it online but would like to hear from someone who has to see if it is even worth it.

What do you think?

I played thru about lvl 8 with my friend, and thought it was just a 3rd rate D2. So don't know if it gets better after that but after we got done playing for however long all I could think was how much better D2 was.

It's decently fun, but I mosly play 2 player and I could see singleplayer being a bit of a pain in the ass (The boss fights are completely not set up for just one person, I had to bring in my higher level character to make it reasonable once or twice). It's gotten mostly good reviews, and is pretty fun. Nothing special or amazing, but I've enjoyed it.

I enjoyed it a lot in the 2 player mode with a friend, but (and this may be just the disc we had) it crashed too much, prolly crashed maybe once every 2 hours.. which was quite lame.

That's part of the immersion factor. Working as intended so they say.

Crashes a lot for me too.. My only "beef" with the game is that when you beat it on the hardest difficulty (all difficulties are the same game w/ VERY LITTLE variation) you get nothing as a reward.. NOTHING.. I thought maybe "Oh cool might unlock a new class".. Nope.. Nothin'.. Nada..

I'm hoping that they aren't THAT stupid and put something in for beating it with every character.. Doubt it though..

Friend of mine been playing it Single Player recently. Says it's a good game, but reminds him alot of Baldur's Gate 2 i think it was. I've watched him play and graphics look decent, and it doesn't look all that bad.

Only thing that pissed me off was when in a game voice over they pronounced Tunare as Too-nair-eee, when i've just been using a silent "e" all these years. Sigh.

It's basiclly Balder's Gate 2 set in EQ, you have to choose premade characters which pretty much blows but other than that it's not a bad game.

I finished the game this weekend on its easy setting. Currently level 21 cleric. After you finish the first setting you move the the second difficulty level.

I really enjoy the game. Music is great, combat is fun. If your looking for a good hack and slash, then you should love this.

I even started some item farming. Save the game near a boss character. Defeat him to see what he drops. Nothing good? Just load the last character and repeat until you get a good item.

Is that fair? Who cares, Its my game.

Wtf. Is this game a hack'n slash or a turn based RPG ala baldur's gate 2 ?

By Baldur's Gate 2 they are talking about the PS2/Xbox BG2, not the PC one.

It's a hack n' slash a la Diablo.

This game is a lot of fun IMO, it's made by the same people who made the original Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance (same engine and stuff) ... but it's probably more fun for two players than one, because there aren't that many multiplayer games of this type out there.

The crashing problems occur because its a dual-layer disc, and if you have an older playstation it just simply will not play it that well. Newer playstations should have no problems.
