| DCing in WoW I just quit EQ recently and am looking forward to playing WoW when it comes out. I do have some questions though. Will Dcing be possible with the current setup? I DC'd in EQ and would like to do so in WoW. My other question is subjective but what does everyone feel would be the best DC duo in WoW and why? Thank you for your time. Edit: When I say DC, I mean on one computer. (Not techincally DCing, but well, you know) Last edited by BoldarBloodKB : 01-25-2004 at 02:14 PM. |

| So yeah, DC'ing is going to be possible. One of the devs said he had 8 or so instances of WC3 running simultaneously. As for classes - Stfu, Anyone's input about that will be pure speculation. Btw: What the fuck is DC'ing? I'm assuming you mean two-boxing from the context of the rest of your thread. |

+17 Internets | For the love of all that is decent you shall never refer to 2-boxing as "Dual Comping" ever again. And people who use the word "Toon" when refering to their characters should be stabbed in the face. |

+17 Internets | I intend to spread my Holy word and make it so. Thus, from now on, you shall use the proper language. Next you're going to fucking tell me you don't call shit you kill "mobs" and actually use the insanely gay term "creeps"... I'm a term-Nazi. Oh yes. |

+5 Internets | I think my thread proved I'm no expert in tech. I know the shit I've worked with, but alot of folks are a hell of alot better than me. Nonetheless, the first thing this tells me is that the coders up at Blizzard are wizards. Imagine having 8 instances of EQ running somehow! Can you imagine how unbearably incredibly slow that would run? I don't think there's a computer in existance with enough resources to do it. WoW though.. They pulled it off. That is impressive. That is very impressive. Not that my being impressed matters much here or there, but does anyone agree with me on that being a kind of "wow how'd they do that?" sort of thing? I wish I knew enough about code to even begin to comprehend how they did it. |
