The problem I see with resist adjustments is that the difference between not having one and having a small -10 resist adjustment is HUGE. However the difference between having a -10 resist adjustment and a -30, -40, -60 resist adjustment is almost non existant.

wow, that is so blatantly untrue.

lets see, majority of all wizard nukes have a -10, some are 0, one is a +20, and draughts are -50, and lures are -300. There is a very noticable differance between each and every resist adjust. Draughts, unless youre being stupid and using the wrong one, or simply against a really resistant mob, do not get resisted. The differance between -10 and -50 is huge.

The bodytype restrictions on all the spells are being removed for now. Although I'm still debating on putting some other bane type spells in, but they won't be part of the core line up.
For those that do care, this was posted on PoN boards by one of the EQ Devs. So now you can all STFU.

And what in the fuck is wrong with trivializing old content? Seriously, why do people think that it is a good thing that a person that puts in the time should NOT be able to go back a couple of years and have a MUCH easier time at something? Or hell, even be able to do that something in the first place?
Trivializing old content has it's pros and cons. On the plus side, guilds that simply didn't have the numbers and time (hardcore players) to do content when it was new have a shot at doing it now. Something that use to take 50 people takes 25 now. So the more casual guilds have a chance to experience that content now while the hardcore players were rewarded for their efforts by getting to do it first. This is a very good thing.

On the downside, the content is now so easy for uber players that they go 1 group it when they're bored. So a lot of bosses still aren't there for the up and coming guilds to take out. Sticking to no drop items more would help cut down on the problem. Ubers would still loot for their twinks, but a few decent and now trivial for uber players mobs get killed for droppable stuff that sells for lots of plat and that would stop. And sometimes rewards are out of balance for how easy a mob is now, like the tear quests from Dozekar. But lots of no drop items and better, progressive itemization in terms of risk vs. reward would help.

Still, the best way to keep lower content available for those still challenged by it is probably to make sure plenty of high end content is entering the game to keep the hardcore players busy. Since LDoN high end content kind of sucks, that hasn't happened enough lately.

The problem is, people just sell "loot rights" to NO DROP items. All NO DROP does is shorten the window, it doesn't really fix bottom feeding.
