Imagine the abuse this would encourage. Let's see how many corpses with a bag or some snake fangs it takes to crash the entire network.

Hmm, I think I'm going to have to start leaving items on EVERY corpse of mine. Let them all rot, we can have competitions to see how many corpses every one can get in say a week or 4!

I laughed at this too. "New ideas"....it's the way DAoC has done it since launch, it's the way WoW is going to do it, and I imagine AC and AO were similar....what new ideas?

Who cares if they rip off stuff from other games to make it easier in EQ, I would rather have more in one game that I like than a bunch of things I like spread out among various games.

Unless you are a dev for a game I don't want to hear jack because honestly why would you care.. seriously.

Corpses have always been linked to the zone, but recently they were changed to be linked to the player file rather than the zone. This allows "zoning" of corpses, for example in the LDON raid areas into the next zone over.

I'm assuming they've combined this code, with the instancing based code and will spawn the logged equivelant of the decayed corpse when you zone into the zone.

This shouldn't be overly laggy as most likely the corpse won't physically be in the GY zone until you zone in and it's "spawned."

Its happened to me before with a twink. I died some place far away and I did'nt feel like running all the way back to get my corpse that night. I completly forgot about it and it ended up rotting.
