+10 Internets | First episode really impressed me. I'm interested to see the others after they air. So glad it's on Hulu.

| i thought this too... but maybe it's because they showed practically the whole episode on promos throughout the summer. i'll give it another chance this week.

| Unfortunately I gotta agree. I really wanted to like this show for Joel's sake, but I had trouble getting into it. I still have mixed feelings because I think his acting was good and there might be potential for this to turn into a genuinely funny show*... but I don't even see it lasting a full season. The group I was watching it with wanted to turn it off half way through, and then we watched It's Always Sunny which made Community look more like crap in comparison. *My better judgment disagrees with this statement, but whatever it is that makes Joel McHale so likable is also making me wishful that he succeeds. |

| I felt everyone was over acting, and it did not feel like a college campus at all.

+46 Internets | That's because it was a community college. Or rather, a caricature of one. Every scene with John Oliver was great though. Him and McHale played really well off each other, and he was just pretty funny on his own. Rest of it was not as great, but there's definite promise. Chevy Chase and the black kid as a sorta doofus team could be good.
