| While I concur with the X-File-ish feel of last night's episode, the episode got creamed in the ratings. TV Ratings: Nielsen Overnight Ratings for Thursday, September 24, 2009: Flash Forward, Grey's Anatomy, Survivor: Samoa, CSI, Bones, Fringe, SNL: Weekend Update, Parks And Recreation, The Office, Community, Jay Leno Show, Vampire Diaries, Supernatural |

| There's not even anywhere else Fox could put the show, given that they have SYTYCD filling in the AI spots in Fall. Well, you could swap Fringe & Lie To Me... until 24 shows up, at which point Fringe has to go back to Thur. again. (Lie to Me doesn't even have a spot on the Spring schedule. I'm assuming if Dollhouse doesn't do better, Lie will replace it.) Now, Fringe does have an order for 22 episodes, so it will be on all year. But it returning in the 10/11 season is not guaranteed. |

+14 Internets | I'm pretty sure shows like Fringe enjoy a much higher online viewership as well though, since its audience is likely more tech-savvy no? I'm sure they get a ton of data from Hulu and their own site to work with. |

| Agreed this was a very X-filesy sort of episode. I quite enjoyed it though, damn shame that its getting creamed in the ratings. I can only hope DVR numbers and hulu values start to take on more importance with the dipshits who believe only in grandma watching it live on her SDTV.

| I LOVED the first 6-7 seasons of the X-Files and all of your comparisons of this show to the X-files has grown my interest in this show so I just got the season 1 dvds and I am now trying to catch up to the second season. I do have a quick question, what night does this show usually air on Fox and how many episodes on s2 have aired so far? Just 1? I would check wikipedia but I don't want to accidently see any spoilers.

+4 Internets | Hulu is the only thing America has going for it at the moment. I love Fringe, but if it wasn't for Walter, I don't know if this show would have any staying power. Peter is a good character but he is over acted at times. I can't stand Olivia, just somethign about her bothers me. Season 2 is off to a good start. Spock is suppose to be back in a couple episodes so the story should advance a little more. I think in a perfect world House and Walter would be having tea together and I would be happy to watch that. |

| I watch Fringe while I play a MUD and EQ2 while the wife watches Greys in the other room. She has bought all the sesons of Greys on DVD... sometimes the episodes are compelling and then sometimes they are just another bad episode of "ER"...wait anyone remeber that show? aint it still on? Well anywho back to work. .... Still love fringe...I want some of walters custard, even if the special ingrediant is blood and other droppings from his autopsy while it was being made lol.

| Fringe is going to get it's ass canceled unless FOX does something pronto. Moving it to Thursday and putting it up against Grey's Anatomy, CSI, and The Office was boneheaded to the extreme: Ratings | TheFutonCritic.com - The Web's Best Television Resource |

| I already said it 5 posts up: Due to 24 & AI coming back in Spring, the only things Fox could do to help Fringe are kill House or Glee/Human Target by moving them to Thursday (which would be dumb for Fox's bottom line), or move the show to Fridays (which wouldn't result in any better ratings either). Fringe has a (full-season) 22 episode order for this year, but now that Fox knows Fringe can't hold up with the big boys on Thursdays (live, anyway - apparently Friday shows are way down this year because people are still watching the Thursday shows on their DVRs), whether the show comes back or not probably depends on if 24 is over after this season. It sucks, but as long as people keep watching AI, House, 24, Sunday Cartoons, etc., the rest of the shows on their network are fighting for timeslot scraps. |
