What the hell is the point in having so many hybrids when everyone seems to be able to kill them at will?

I was thinking the same thing but having tons of daywalkers that are bonded to you is what he wants. How they made them so easy to kill is kinda dumb

They are just fodder I think. He wants a bunch of daywalking cannon fodder to throw against his enemies. It is also nice that he doesn't have to threaten them, or force their loyalty. They have a desire to please him that goes so deep they can't even stop themselves if they want to. Look at Tyler biting Caroline.

Also they are easy to kill I think because of their age. The older vampires/werewolves get the stronger they are. These are babies right now. In a few hundred years they would be really nasty. Only takes a small bite to kill a vampire so they are really dangerous the faster/stronger they become.

Show is still kicking ass but Im not sure I like the twist with Alarics background. Hoping they dont kill off the Originals(Elijah needs to get back to being a badass), and why is Damon so determined to kill them, they've pretty much left them alone recently. Going to suck if Rebekah is no longer on the show, she is the best eye candy IMO

Also going to take a guess Alaric's nurse gets killed next episode

I am pretty confident that of all the originals that might be dying before too long that Klaus is not one of them. The show needs him. He is the primary villain, and there is so far no one else that can take his place. Not to mention he is insanely popular, and has a huge following of fans from what I was reading. Killing him off could potentially take the show with him heh. I see Klaus surviving to the series finale.

The rest of them however I think are on borrowed time. Which is going to be a bit sad when Elijah and Rebecca go. Elijah is a badass, and Rebecca is almost too hot to kill. Damn that woman is sexy.

Sadly, Klaus needs to die soon. The strength of the show is in its ability to keep the plot moving and never get bogged down in filler arcs. Klaus has been the Big Bad for 2 seasons now, its time to move on past the "Originals" plotline and onto something new.

Klaus has to die since he is fixed on getting his army, I think they could find a way to keep some of the originals on the show but I doubt it will happen

Bonus points for re-use of seemingly forgotten power from previous seasons.

Negative points for being too helpless to operate doors, windows or seatbelts.

Pretty good finale though, not what I was expecting.
