Holy fuck I was not expecting it to go that direction. I can't think of many shows that would pull off something like that.

All I could think of was what did poor Peg Bundy do to deserve that treatment!

I would say its one of the best shows on TV right now. May want to wait till season 2 is over to start watching it though. If the rest of the season is like tonight, going to be rough waiting week to week. Great episode.

Based on this thread I downloaded the first season. I finished it the next day. It's really good, very well done.

A little upset with a show with this much violence there are no tits, but the storytelling is good enough that I'm engaged the whole time anyways.

Looking forward to season 2.

Quite a season opener. With all the crap going on they could keep it non-stop action through the whole season. I hope they can pull it off. I actually upgraded my cable yesterday to get FX so I could watch this show so if it sucks they owe me 8 bucks a month.

The creator of the show, Kurt Sutter, says he felt like they started off slow in the first season and picked up by the end. I'm taking that to mean he wants to keep the pace and the action up like the end of S1. Plus, they don't have to spend much time on introducing characters at this point, so they can just get right into it.

Henry Rollins was fucking scary. Watching him pwn Darby was awesome, but I never expected him to go as far as he did in the end of the episode. I mean, it's all about power, and the supremacy movement is well known for using similar methods in prison, but jeez. Talk about left field.

Yeah, he's got something coming to him, and I won't be happy to see his run end

Last night was great. I'm really wondering how they are going to handle the growing unrest inside the club. Will it be a bloody coup? A bloody end to the rebellion, or will the club handle it diplomatically? I can't wait to see the Nazi's get whats coming to him.

I think the club is first going to handle the Nazi's before they decide whether a coup is going to happen.

My guess is that Clay goes absolutely fucking nuts and starts an all out war, or at least tries to. Jax will be the only cool head in the club even though Gemma is his mother, and Clay will take it as an affront to his authority. They'll off some skinheads, including Rollins' character, but that won't be enough for Clay and the tension will continue to escalate.

I also expect Clay's reaction to Gemma's attack to parallel strongly with Opie and his reaction to Donna's death. Piney will probably be involved in that discussion, and chances are he'll be the one to eventually spill to Opie that the club killed his wife. He'll find out before season's end for sure, and when he does there'll be fireworks. Opie or Tig will die by the end of the season.

my bets on peole dying are. piney and tig. Rollins will live the guy in a suit will die. maybe the old nord gang leader will as well. the mayans and the 9ers will have some serious beef and spill over to Samcro.(thx this episode) clay and jax will have it out but no deaths tho it could split the club. also the irish will prob side with jax since he is more level headed than clay and is willing to work with them / change the biz (this is more like a predicition for this season + plot of next imo.

Ok I've been thinking about this and the skinhead's move of gang raping Gemma doesn't make sense to me. Do they really think that this will work? Do they have a secret stash of machine guns and enough guys to use them that they think they can start an all out war with Samcro? Do they think Clay is going to be like OMG something happened to my wife, we're shutting down the club and becoming a plain old mechanic's shop? Not exactly their style. I mean Rollin's character is obviously a little warped, but I don't see how anyone but a complete idiot would think what he is doing would work. He already knows that the police are NOT on his side and in fact the sheriff is in Samcro's pocket and the up and coming guy is a straight shooter that basically called them scumbags to their face. I hope there is more to come because this plot twist makes no sense to me aside from giving the bikers some people to kill.

Re: next season plot, I don't see how the show will work and be good with a split Samcro. I can certainly be convinced and proven otherwise though. Everything else you said I pretty much agree with.

I think the scene where Rollins tells the local neo-nazi guy (who was mulder and scully's boss on the x-files ) that he hasn't even earned the right yet to display his swastika tat was very telling. These guys are used to being in control of everything and everyone. They want SAMCRO gone and will do anything to make it happen. This show is going to get very, very brutal this season if this was any indication of where its going.

Obviously our 'heroes' aren't going to just let that happen. This episode added a whole other layer to the under-the surface fight that is brewing between Jax and Clay. The nazi situation is going to distract them from that for a while, and man if Opie ever finds out the truth...
