+6 Internets | Top Chef My money is on the tattooed Volt brother, barring some major upset I see him, his brother, and Jen in the top 3. Kevin is great, but he's younger and I just feel that makes him more likely to make a mistake towards the end. Its hard to bet against Jen, she is/war the sous chef at one of the United States 3 Michilin star restaurant (granted, Michilin has only rated NY and SF at this point). I wonder how they will handle Ripert this season, he is one of their goto judges, and Jen is one of his right hand men. |

+13 Internets | I'm glad Mattin is gone. All of his dishes have been blah, and making ceviche is fucking OLD. There's 3-4 ceviche every fucking episode, if anyone makes it again it's auto-elimination. Especially because 80% of the time they fuck it up. Can't believe some of the things these people cooked out there. Also, I was kind of expecting Robin to go. They seemed to universally DESPISE the dish, and she hasn't done anything at all...think the fact that so many women have already been voted off influenced the decision? Then again Tim Love said he got sick from Mattin's dish, so hahah. Last edited by Blumpster; 09-16-2009 at 10:08 PM.. |

| Totally predictable boot this week but I'm glad to see him go. He just seemed over his head and I was really starting to feel sorry for him. The Robin redemption thing was nice but probably won't last. The other non-Jen chick is probably on the short list too along with Ash. Kevin knocked it out of the park this week. Somehow I knew that Jen was going to be in the top again despite her panicking about her dish. It may not have been to her standards but it's still better than most of the others. Hopefully this week will boost her confidence because she kind of looked like she was losing it. I'm loving the challenges this season. Not much catering and no wacky stuff so far. Just awesome cooking which is what the show is really about. |

+2 Internets | Kevin is awesome. Im hoping he goes all the way. Reminds me of season 1 when Harold was so leaps and bounds better than everyone else in terms of cooking and being respectful about things that you just knew he was going to win from the opening episode. The Robin shit was ridiculous, she didnt even try because she had immunity and I would bet anything that comes back and bites her in the ass, hopefully next week. The sibling rivalry is sort of getting annoying. You should think they wouldnt be so incapable of complimenting one another every once in awhile.

| Agreed that Ron was the obvious choice to eliminate. Everyone knows/works with someone like Robin... They are constantly talking about god knows what just to fill the air and always reminding people of this tragedy they went through. I'm not knocking cancer survivors in anyway, but I can see how the other chefs are getting annoyed that everything she cooks and does has to tie in to her surviving two types of lymphoma or whatever. And even if it has no relevance, she mentions it. I'm happy she is alive though for sure. I really wanted the other female to go off on her when Robin asked her to do something for her... Robin had immunity! Be helping other people, not asking them to get your shit out of the oven. |

| I was rolling on the floor by the hipster-douches comment, "sure, she brings up she has cancer and its an automatic win!" bit of a boring episode, was hoping for more penn & teller. but I guess after the awesomeness of the past 2-3 episodes gotta have some slower moments. Redbeard seems very strong, I'm rooting for him to take it home. After all, you gotta trust a fat cook, you know they are eating the food they make. |

| WTF, no new episode this week? Why does the Bravo top chef site say new every wed at 10/9 central and then they don't have a new episode? Plus it is reality TV, how hard is it to have a new episode? It's not like there is a script or anything, the only time it is acceptable to have a reality show off week is when there is a major holiday like Thanksgiving and Survivor at least shows a refresher episode with SOME new footage. Top Chef fails.....pack your knives and go.

| Goodbye Ashley. She is sort of the first of the "good" chefs to get the boot. She is definitely second tier in this season though so it was just a matter of time. Glad to see Jen get a win. The stress really seems to be getting to her a bit but it's not effecting her cooking so far. It was pretty funny to see Ash talking about Mike V. like he was some kind of deity and then backpedaling when he realized that he was making himself look bad in front of the judges. I do think that Ash, Robin, and Eli are a step below the rest at this point though. Mike I. whining about being paired with Robin was par for the course. I really wish he was a worse chef so he could get off of my television asap. When it comes down to it though I think he has been riding coattails to an extent (which is why he was so upset about being paired with Robin) and he will probably drop out once it goes all individual. |

+13 Internets | Good chefs? She was horrible. She made fucking garbage the whole time, and then pulled two dishes out of her ass. She should have been gone a long, long time ago. I still can't believe Ash is hanging around. That guy hasn't done a god damn thing. He's always saying "I'm just going to make simple food" then the next fucking episode it's "OH HAY IVE NEVER MADE THIS BEFORE BUT YOU GOTTA TAKE RISKS TO WIN" and lays a turd on a plate. Also, fuck scallops, fuck Robin (I'd have seriously told her to shut the fuck up by now, and let her in on the fact everyone fucking HATES HER), and holy fuck Laurine gets NO screen time AT ALL. The only thing that she's been around for is when she ragged on Robin an episode or two ago. Mike was being an asshole this last episode, he admitted he didn't know the flavors at all, and even though he doesn't like Robin(who would) she KNEW the flavors and ingredients, he should have listened to her more and maybe learned something. They might have won or some shit, who knows. He was just looking to not get eliminated though, so in reality it was a smart move if he didn't trust her. |
