I kinda dropped this show after season six, but with all the positive posts I've seen about the finale I had to end up watching both season 7 and 8. After watching them I honestly don't know why I never bothered until now, the jokes were a lot better and they seemed to push the boundries a bit more with what they were doing.

As for the last episode in the future reel and definityly had a tear in my eye and loved the credits at the end with all the cast and showing the crew, was amazing.

definitely a fantastic ending to an otherwise great show. I was hoping that when cox finished his speech he would've actually turned around and killed JD like he always wanted to do

I can't think of many shows that really recovered after a major change of cast. As soon as Duchovney left X-Files that was it for me, if I missed an episode of SG1 after season 7 or whatever I really didn't worry. Ever since Rosenbaum got written off Smallville I only tune in when Chloe or Lois is on screen for their delicious tata's.

It's a shame though because they really did hit their stride again with season 8.

I really don't see this turning into anything worthwhile, it just reeks of them milking the name for all it's worth. Let it die with some dignity.

Well...if they follow the Interns webisodes...Sunny might be the main character now if they keep the current format. They also kinda hinted at that near the end when it was just J.D., her, and Cox. She's really cute, but not sure if the show can survive the shift.

Definitely not. She will be a big turn off to a lot of people. The character is based on being annoying in a completely non-tolerable (as opposed to tolerable, J.D.-like) way.

I'd say JD is probably more annoying than sunny at times

But yeah it would be a horrible idea, she's very 1-dimensional.

Hot chick that bangs fatties is my choice. She would be a refreshing change of pace. Instead of having another super happy, cheery character - it shows the softening of the serious one so she gets to relate to her patients better.

Plus, as a hot chubby chaser, she should have a special appeal to the online crowd.

Little late, but last episode was really good, though I think they overdid it on the cheesy jokes towards the beginning, but it ended up finishing really strong. I am deeply saddened by them trying to renew for another season.

Try and keep a positive outlook. If it sucks we just pretend it never happened. If by some miracle it's good, we get to watch a new show with some of the flavor of an old favorite.

Either way renewing it is not a kick in any of your nuts, specific or collective.
