+17 Internets | Wow new episode was amazing. Mother's monologue, historians speech at the end. I've enjoyed the show up until now but this episode really got me down about this show being canceled.

+11 Internets | How the fuck did they cancel this show. This last episode was amazing. I remember hearing something a while ago about another channel picking this show up. Anyone heard anything at all about that?

| Yeah that last episode was pretty fuckin incredible. I'd guess Silas isn't going to go quietly, and possibly end up losing his daughter because of it? I dunno. The epic amounts of Bitchslap in the episodes to come, though, will leave me jizzing my pants for the next three decades.

This show is 'ok'; the actions of every character are predictable and fit within the stereotypical character types they all fit into. The story has gotten more muddled and aimless with every passing episode. King has a problem? He calls in the sinister black lady to make it go away. Queen has a problem? She calls in the sinister black lady to make it go away. David has a problem? He gets a pained look on his face, stumbles into something miraculously to save the day, and then the king stabs him in the back anyways. Princess Cuteypie has a problem? She whines to David, her brother, or the king and one of them will solve it for her. And since day one, everyone knows David will end up king no matter what ridiculous plot lines they wrap around it... | |

+6 Internets | I'm still catching up on these (about 5 behind still) and loving them, but I'm constantly struck by how much I really want to bone the queen. The princess is a given of course, and if I had a choice I'd pick her in a heartbeat. But something about the queen makes me forget that she's like 50. I'm not married, but if I were I'd want my wife to look like her when she's that age. I suppose some of that could be due to facelifts, but I can't really tell if so, and I actually don't think so from older pictures of her. Yes, I just said I want to do someone that might be a grandma. Let the ridicule begin. |

| grannie porn <-- that way One possibility I thought is that King Silas KNOWS about the plot between his son and brother-in-law, and arrests David in order to make him a public martyr and people's champion. Making the transition for him to be King David easier, especially given the historian saying that the king (presumably Silas) told him to chronicle King David's story. Remember, we saw last episode that "death" made him promise to give up the crown to a better man, and the Preacher is always at his side suggesting such things as well. I think they kind of failed in the royal court intrigue, there is good stuff there between the King, brother-in-law, son, queen, and aides but just not really enough. By contrast in the Tudors or Rome for example you saw many, many more factions and all the machinations they had going on, whereas in Kings its not very deep (so far anyways). was this the last episode btw? |
