+8 Internets | Thanks for the reminder. I'll have to make sure my DVR is still set to record it. |

I really enjoy this show, caught up on all the episodes and can't wait to see the ending. One complaint was it got a little soap operaish. | |

| If you've never seen it, you may want to get The Tudors and watch it. I just started watching season 1 and find the show absolutely brilliant, it deals with some of the same themes - political intrigue, religion, love. I always found english history very boring so ignored the show, but its been much better than I expected. Its also on showtime so there is quite a bit of tits and ass and swearing. I keep thinking of Mel Blancs phrase, "its good to be the king" lol |

| I haven't found time to watch it myself, but I may need to apologize for reminding you the show was back: apparently the ratings were downright abysmal, like probably setting a new record low for a new episode on one of the big four. Given that it only saw half of what an L&O repeat is getting, it is an open question of whether NBC will keep it on the air - yes, NBC has already paid for the episodes of Kings (vs. the additional repeat cost they would pay on L&O), but if NBC makes up more than the difference on ad rates*, then the rest of Kings will only show up on DVD, if ever. *Apparently, the networks "guarantee" a certain rating to the advertisers, and if a given show performs worse than that, the network has to give them additional ad slots sometime else - which means the network isn't getting paid for the ad they had to replace. So the math gets somewhat complicated. |
