Spring 09 Anime Season thread

So they concluded this experiment... and realy they put themselves in a situation where it would have been insanely difficult to not be underwhelming, so it's no surprise that it was. Not bad, but not a resultion that justifies 200 minutes of television.

I remember thinking about the homework and wondering if Haruhi did hers in three day as she claims reasonable people should do. It also felt a little strange that Kyon never tried to go and check what was up with Haruhi during that whole day she spends alone.

The homework is not such an amazing resolution though, I would have prefered if it was something Haruhi wanted to see on the list but did not dare to put herself, hoping someone else would mention it... a summer love, a first kiss or something similar as the whole idea of the list is after all a quest for normalcy: not missing the things they should do at their age during the summer.

Bit the bullet and started to DL the Hajime No Ippo torrent (~1d 5h to go). Is the quality good by Infusion? I know its not HD or anything.

Anyone watched 07 Ghost, currently Dattebayo is subbing it and thought I would check it out. Got hooked after the first episode. Supposedly its only like 26 episodes long and they are currently on 19. I've watched it up to the latest and really enjoying the development. I wish it had a bit more action, but overall its pretty good.

I've watched half of 07_Ghost but its too Yaoi for me, so I quit.

FMA is either getting to the point where it diverges from the original anime or I don't remember it that well... Either way, it is pretty good.

Last 3 or 4 episodes have been hugely divergent, right after Greed was introduced. The introduction of "Father" and the Xing people (Ling, Mei Chan) start the major differences.

This FMA follows the manga, the original anime diverged from the manga around episode 25

As you'd expect, this is one of my favorite animes (current ones anyway.) So the second season definitely had me excited until episode 6 or so, when I almost began to despair, as if I were Yuki

I hope this season is longer than 14 episodes, because if it is not, I will be hard pressed to pay for its dvd,

KyoAni are going to have to do something odd to shift those DVDs, that's for certain. I'm half expecting "Haruhi-chan DVDs (with added Endless Eight)" or similar.

You know, what with Haruhi-chan being the best KyoAni series so far this year (better than this season of its 'parent') and all that.

I said that only half- heartedly. Since the endless time loop episodes came to a closure, it's been solid again.

Haruhi as a film director is pretty damn amusing and Kyon seems to be growing some balls finally(or was, until couple of weeks ago when he seemed to have stood up and reprimanded Haruhi for her Mikuru abuse, somewhat... haven't seen the newest episode yet.)
