I'm going to give Canaan a chance after watching this. I do love the art-style, and have been a fan of Tanaka Rie since Rozen Maiden.

{edit}: On topic - watching Eden of the East, K-On, and Ristorante Paradaiso. Really excited about the first, just going to download the middle and watch it all at once, and... the last was just an experiment. First two episodes were more irritating than amusing.

Canaan seems interesting and incidently it's the anime adaptation of a visual novel on Wii that scored a 40/40 in Famitsu ( Buy 428: Fuusa Sareta Shibuya de (Nintendo Wii) - Play-Asia.com ). The chances of seeing that game translated being less than slim, I guess the serie could be a good way to have a taste of what we are missing.

And they are redoing Cobra? What's up with that?

On the bright side, nothing in the summer list looks painfully bad. I'm looking at you, Queen's Blade.

Summer seems less than interesting, so glad one piece will have like 600+ episodes O_o

I don't know if this has been linked before but:

Watching h.264 videos using DirectX Video Acceleration (DXVA). | My collection of short anime reviews

I highly recommend people use those settings over just installing CCCP/VLC ect. It's really simple and works a hell of a lot better than just running it off software settings if you have a video card that supports it.

Having Advent Children Complete in 1080p only taking up 8-13% CPU is pretty awesome.

Note to Nvidia users: I tested both the first page DXVA method and the alternate link CUDA/CoreAVC method. The first page's setup is far easier, has less problems, and performs better from what I saw. It also doesn't require you to either pirate or pay for CoreAVC.

Downloaded all the available episodes of these series yesterday:

East of Eden: Best of the group so far, nice animation, interesting storyline. Kinda reminds me of Darker Than Black (for animation quality).

Shangri-La: Rather disappointing, seems like Last Exile. Hope it gets better.

Basquash: Funny show, love the art style and animation.

Full Metal Alchemist: Never watched the entire original series, but will do so with this remake. Pretty sure I'll like it.

Anyone know of any groups that have the all the episodes for Toradora and Soul Eater still available? Would like to check them out too.

Toradora - AniYoshi did 1-22 and CoalGuys finished it up from 23-25.

Soul Eater - I got it piecemeal from Tadashi and a group whose name I can't recall, but here appears to be a healthy complete torrent.

I'm just finding Shangri-La to be really odd. The setting is interesting but the direction they're taking the story is really causing the show to drag. I keep watching with the hopes of it getting better and them actually explaining why Japan is a jungle, but it just keeps coming back to carbon trading. Also doesn't help that I'm not particularly fond of any of the characters.

Speaking of characters, Alicia form Valkyria Chronicles is one of the most entertaining to watch characters I've seen in a while. The way they did her facial expressions and stuff is just great.

Coalguys did the whole series as it aired, AniYoshi released weeks after and are still releasing, they are much slower sub group, same with all their shows it seems.

Mmm. I didn't see Toradora as it aired and picked it up because a lot of people suggested it (here!) a couple months after it was already finished. Glad I did. =)

Can someone explain to me what's going on in Eden of the East ep 6? What's this Eden photo recognition program? and what's with all the NEET talk? I know what a NEET is, but how is Eden related to NEET paradise?
