| The show needs Michael Donovan to sneak on board the Visitor ship with a camera. That is when we learned all of the good stuff. We saw both the visitor eating a gopher and the face rip off. Then we got cool chase scenes and fights with that char.

| I do admit that I take my science fiction a bit to seriously. The nerd in my screams that other nerds should give a damn about these kinds of details. After all you average is capable of thinking several levels of complexity above your average citizen and therefore likely to see the massive plot holes in this kind of story and that kind of thing just kills immersion.

| Okay, didn't get a chance to watch this until last night... As a fan of the original series I thought the reboot was decent. It made me feel that the writers were thinking "Okay, everyone knows how this story goes so let's just show the differences between this one and the original and get on with it." Kinda sucks because the original version's reveal that they were reptiles was pretty damn shocking and scary. It really did feel that the new show was going along assuming the viewer already knew all this stuff. |

+11 Internets | I know a lot of people are complaining over every little detail about this show but who wants this canceled and replaced by a new Cop Drama/Docter Trama Show/Reality TV show cause thats what will happen. It sucks that it comes to this but I will watch dam near everything on TV that doesn't involve any of those shows I just talked about.

+45 Internets | I enjoyed it, I see a lot of people complaining about stuff that can be explained later. It's only one episode in, they cant explain everything.

| I was completely unfamiliar with the old show and the new one before I watched the pilot last night. I was like whoa sweet premise bro, but then had the same problems other people in this thread had. Holy wtf with the plot rush and unanswered questions. The entire time no one ever asks "hey how did you know all of our languages before setting foot here" and its not addressed if any political parties have a problem with them setting up shop in every major city, if anyone was interested in how they cure their diseases etc. Didn't really have a problem with the girl and priest becoming a resistance leader, but they rushed the plot so much I didn't really care about any character at all except Wash. |

Like I said above, the show seemed to be written in a way that assumed the viewer had seen the 80's series and could fill in the gaps. By the way, I didn't catch their reason why they've come to Earth? In the old series they said there was some chemical that could only be manufactured on our planet or some such. Is that still the same? The REAL reason hasn't been revealed yet, right?

| they said they need "a material that is abundantly available on your planet", but didn't specify what

+1 Internets | I tried watching V-Pilot which I DVRed. After about the first 20 minutes, I said to my wife (who apparently was a huge "V" fan), "this sucks, this is like forcing me to watch High School Musical or whatever the fuck it is called, turn it off". She said, "yea this is pretty bad". As most people have stated in detail, and the others have stated, "quit harping on the details". Ill just say this, collectively between the acting, the scenes, the extreme lack of any realism (I mean give me something to work with here folks, I am all about "suspension of belief", but this is something out of a really bad zombie movie) it just started to actually make me physically agitated to continue to watch this show. I was actually suprised by this, I thought this V series would be something out of the Sarah Conner Chronicles, Lost, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica series, making its own niche in the great sci-fi drama line especially since it had a very large following. I may be alone in my opinion, but I will not be watching this at all. Flash-Foward seems to be of higher quality writing than V, and I can suspend belief a lot easier with that series. And in advance, it is just my opinion, dont get all butt-hurt because I wasnt thrilled with the pilot.

If half your list of complaints are things are topics that are simply unadressed and you are one episode in you are quite frankly a moron.

| Their "big reveal" of the episode was that her partner was a V. The OMG he is a V too factor is going to get old quick and it looked to me that they were setting it up so you didn't know who was a V and who was a human. I hope they have more cool stuff to reveal than just who is a V and who isn't.
