GateWorld - Don S. Davis: 1942-2008

Sad to see General Hammond pass away. I think his role on SG1 was underrated and taken for granted, at least until he left. Glad he got to return for the next movie.

Shit, that sucks.

I really liked him as General Hammond, especially as the series progressed. I'm glad to see he was able to be in Stargate Continuum.

Sucks. I've been working through some Dead Zone episodes, and he was in a few of those, too (season 5-ish).

Ditching him and turning SG into Farscapegate SG1 was part of the reason I stopped watching it.

He's one of those actors you always remember when you saw them.

Con Air with the bird shit, before Chappelle drops in. The Head Judge in Best in Show. The Evangelic Presidential Candidate on West Wing, etc..etc..

He always made the most out of the small parts, and that's really what seperates the good ones from the bad.

He was excellent as the general in command of SG1. Mr. Bushy Eyebrows was not a good replacement for that particular role.
