I Survived a Japanese Game Show

Show is pretty good. I love anything in Japan so it helps too. I predict Wipeout gets 2 episodes max tho, it has NOTHING on MXC.

Wipeout was pretty sad, caught the second half of that last night.

I was tempted to watch I Survived, because I've seen some japanese game shows (as many of us have) online, and they're just so far out there, would have been great to see the way the american players reacted (down home boy, old guy, sista? determined prep chick? win!), but I had more pressing things to do. Mostly banging on Rock band drum pads.

Might torrent it though, would be amusing enough to see sometime.

Just got done watching it and this show is so kick ass. It has a hot blonde on it too. Meaghan ftw!

Also the black dude jumps on the bed and goes "oh snap" i lol'd at that

Hopefully it does well in the ratings!

Watched about 10 or so min. of it and it was ok. I don't like the contestants very much though. They just had to pick the most uncultured and stereotypical Americans who didn't even look interested in being there. Though I guess thats what makes it appealing to some...

I didn't find it to be that great. The games weren't as out there as I expected and the whole thing seemed fairly low quality. I guess I should appreciate the authenticity of these people being on an actual Japanese game show rather than some American mock-up of what our concept of a Japanese game show is, but in a way I think the latter might've been a better way to go. Last night just made me wonder if this is one of those things where we stereotype Japanese TV and it isn't actually as crazy as we think it is (or not as often).

I'll give the show another chance since they probably needed to take more time to establish who the players were and how the show works, but unless it picks up some, I doubt I'll be watching.

I love this show so much...the games they had this week were fucking awesome! Though in the mail delivery game they should have had better shit to throw at the person. I'm hoping they pull out human Tetris in an episode later in the season!

This weeks episode was pretty good. I loved when the losers had to work at the rice farm.

The sooner Cathy goes the better, she is the "annoying new yorker" type and I can't stand her.

Meaghan I just want to ravage her entire body.

I love that Meaghan was so shocked that whats his face on her team stabbed her in the back after she got him to do the same thing to Olga.

The look of shock was priceless.

Surprisingly, they didn't fall for Darnell trying to get them both to compete in the elimination game and getting himself out of it. It's nice to see that chick hold up to her end of the deal and didn't try to put Meaghan in the elimination game. It sucks she got eliminated though. I can't stand that Darnell guy at all.
