We still have Sean Hannity, Bill O, and Rush...

Saddest news I've heard in some time. The worst is that his passion won't see the end of a historic election. You could sense how much he loved his work each time he spoke.

I respectfully disagree. I always saw Tim Russert as an "old school", less biased commentator who used disclosed or printed interviews or information - in other words, substantiated - to work in creating a political dialogue. He bypassed the issues now constantly associated with vague or rumored "sources" for news, and wanted to get to the heart of the matter, not be concerned/sidetracked with spectacle or rumor. I believe he often succeeded.

He had a passion for his work and discussed relevant issues with both major political parties on a regular basis. His was the only non-humorous political talk show I watched due to these qualities.

RIP, Tim, and thank you.

Timmy was just human, sometimes he was right on the ball with his guests and would nail them on really important stuff, sometimes he would miss the opportunity, and other times he would keep harping on stuff that didn't need to be harped on. But overall, he did a great job and here's to plenty of white boards and magic markers being on heaven's steps for him.

Anyone got the picture of Tim Russert split-screen interviewing a dog? I know it's a Fark shoop, but I can't find it.

The just utterly inhuman lack of respect that people are capable of showing on the internet simply astounds me.

Huge loss to all of us - I always enjoyed his "Meet the Press"... he was a great journalist.

You might be thinking of Chris Matthews of Hardball - I think he's planning to run for the Senate.

That sucks, he was one of the few political interviewers I could stand to watch. RIP.

Tuesdays so far this year have been all about Tim. It's too bad he won't be around to see this election through. RIP Russert.
