| It's been on the Fix as well since Friday. Loved the episode, but I think you'd have to be a real fan of the series to have any idea what's going on. That said, the dig at David Lynch's buttfuckery of Dune was hilarious.

| You are right about the real fan comment - from Girlfriend's hair to the gay mexican goon to the one time opening credits, the show continues to build on previous episodes. And speaking of building, what do you all think about the Venture family mysteries? Jonas Sr:. The Guild sure changed the subject quickly when he came up, didn't he? Is he alive and in The Guild? Myra: Rusty said he lost his virginity at 24 in the college episode, the kids were created within a year or so of then if you take Rusty's age from the butterfly episode and their proper age from Killinger's episode, and Rusty admits to sleeping with her. Is she the Venture Bros. mother? Hank has the same features and latent mental insanity, after all. And if she is that insane as is, how nuts will she be when she finds out the boys have repeatedly died on Rusty's watch? Additional Venture Bros: How many more are out there? The Impossible baby has Rusty's hair, and in the Season 2 opener Rusty said he's going to have a child with the rave girl. Any others I'm missing? |

| One other comment: anyone else get a chuckle out of the fact that the show has established that Rusty is such a loser that none of his enemies even have a legitimate reason to hate him? Underbheit: Monarch blew off his jaw. Phantom Limb: Only invaded the Ventures on a dare from Monarch. Suriyama: Brock slept with his dream girl, not Rusty. Jonas Jr: Rusty only "wronged" him in the womb, and reaches a truce with him in the same episode. Anyone willing to bet that Monarch's beef is similarly misplaced? |

+7 Internets | I thought it was established that Rusty blew off the Baron's jaw. He did a speech in Season 1 how "one must always look out for their lab partner" to the Monarch when both their crews were at the Venture compound. |

| Anyone else not quite happy with "The Doctor is Sin"? First off, it goes against the central joke of Dr. Killinger: Publick & Hammer think Henry Kissinger is such a bastard that the evil version of him wraps around to being good. But this Killinger is clearly evil, between his atomizing the union reps and urging Hank to kill. And General Manhowers has previously seen Rusty's ooo-ray and put in an order for Venturesteins before - he knows Rusty's produced stuff that isn't his father's. I realize I'm complaining about continuity in a cartoon, but one of the big strengths of the Venture Bros. is that plot points are hinted at way in advance (like the Rusty/Jonas Jr. dreams). But goofs like this tend to ruin that effort. On the other hand, I do like some of the little bits: Rusty's comment of wanting his mommy back sure sounded like she left, not that she died - what's she been up to? And I loved that Orpheus was effortlessly overpowered in magic by Killinger - even the second most competent of the Venture crew is a complete joke. |

+7 Internets | Just finally got around to watching this newest episode, and yeah. kinda disappointed. It didn't flow well, and yeah Killinger just seemed out of sorts. The killing was odd, especially when he had Hank kill one of the workers he brought. Just odd. Mediocre episode. |

| Another mythology heavy episode that even manages to include a spot-on GI Joe parody. Awesome. I didn't catch it myself, but the guy that gave Brock his new orders (before slipping on a Guild ring) was named Haine - which is french for Hatred. I.e. this was Sgt Hatred before he turned into a supervillain - and the fact that the Guild specifically assigned a way too competent Brock to guard Rusty is more evidence that Jonas Sr. is connected to the Guild (and probably still alive). |

| Can someone please tell Hammer & Publick that Hatred trying to sexually abuse the boys again isn't funny? And I'm confused about the Girlfriend smoking bit. Are they really saying her voice is solely due to excessive smoking? Then why was she in Phantom's freaks-only class last week? And I'll continue to say that Monarch's hatred of Rusty is bizarre - if I had to guess, I'd say he's been hypnotized into hating him. And finally, am I the only one still watching this show? What else is on TV nowadays? |

+3 Internets | I have been enjoying this season for the most part. The GI Joe parody was fantastic. Interesting theory on why they put Brock on guarding Dr. Venture, not sure I agree, but is good reasoning. We still don't know Dr. Girlfriend's "secret" though, that she revealed at the end of Season 2, do we? I think the comment about her smoking was just a guess on that persons part, because her voice was the same in college. I just recently rewatched Season 1 with a friend new to the show, and it really showed me how little things made sense in the first few episodes, but by watching the whole thing through, things get filled in. So I'm pretty patient as far as season 3 goes. And yes, the jokes about Hatred's interest in little boys seemed a bit forced and unfunny in this past episode. Though I did find the offhand comment about it between Dean and Hank during the Season 2 wedding kinda funny. |
