Reaper

Anyone catch the series premiere of Reaper last night? Was looking forward to seeing it, and it was actually pretty decent.. pretty funny show with some cool effects (the fireman) .. some questionable stuff, and definately had some Kevin Smith esque parts in the show. reminded me of a cross between ghost rider & something else, maybe superhero genre.

Wanted to check this out but unfortunately it was on at the same time as House. I'm a big fan of Tyler Labine ever since he was in Invasion.

I liked it. The guy playing the Devil was a hoot and it has a best friend has a Seth Rogan vibe that works well. I'll give it a few weeks, though I question then putting it opposite of House. If they kill it because of ratings then they really weren't expecting much to begin with. However, it's the CW so I'm gonna guess that ratings are less of an issue than say, Fox (may they rot in hell).

I didn't even realize the devil was played by Ray Wise. He was awesome in 24, but I will always remember him for playing the president in Red Alert.

I liked it better when it was called the Collector.

Loved the show. Lots of great humor. Was cracking up when the sidekick brought out the leafblower and the Freddy mask. Honestly, was a little surprised to see it on the CW. I thought there'd be some sort of Angst quota for all CW shows. It really felt more like a USA show (especially Psych, Monk), except with alot bigger budget.

I watched the encore. I really enjoyed it and it is definitely set on my Tivo now.

I liked it, though. Best parts are his best friend and the devil himself. Can do without the silly love interest. Felt tacked on.

This along with Bionic Woman, whilst not being essential viewing, are inoffensive enough and have enough quirk here and there to keep me watching thus far.

His fellow incompetent sidekicks certainly help, you are left wondering how they can blunder their way to victory once more. Well, I was

I was surprised with how much I enjoyed the first episode. I missed the second, but I'll catch it tonight.

Did not like the show... why you ask?

Because the humor is brought to you with a hammer tossed into your head. "Chuck" is dancing, easy and really enjoyable, "Reaper" is stomping, trying to be funny and failing.
Both are comparable because the nerds rule it

Surprised at how much I enjoyed it actually. Thought it was pretty funny. The SFX were pretty horrible, but I liked the fat guy. The premise itself is kind of meh, but the guy who was the devil was good; doubt i'll last though

Really enjoyed it, the effects I thought worked well enough. I liked the whole cast. I hope this evolves, it does remind me of Buffy in a way...

Sam = Buffy
Sock = Xander
Devil = Giles
Burned forehead guy = Willow
Andi = Angel
Sams annoying brother = dawn

I might be reaching but...

Definitely a fun show. Unfortunately, it's more my sense of humour and entertainment than my fiance's. So it looks like it's yet another show I'll have to work in when she's not around or doing other things.
