Anyone else watch this on Discovery Channel? I've been addicted to it since the start of Season 2.

New season just started back up yesterday for the Red King Crab season, was pretty good.

hahaha I know, the Hillstrand brothers are awesome, the show wouldn't be nearly as good as it is without them.

This is definitely one of my favorite shows on tv, if not my favorite.

Each season doesn't really bring a big change, they could keep it this way and I think I'd watch it for years. I like to dream about going out on one of those boats for a season, while I know full well I wouldn't be able to take that shit.

I worked with a guy for a few months that was a crab/cod fisherman out of Dutch Harbor during the 80s/90s...

He brought his photo album and shit, the photos that stood out the most was one of the deck with at least a foot of ice caked on the rails and all over the sides of the deck and one with a king crab that he was holding that was as big as his head. It was sweet hearing him talk about the trips back before there was a quota and they'd be out there for months at a time and come back to get upwards of 50k+.

In conclusion, I loved the show before I met the guy and after meeting him, I love it more.

I downloaded and watched the first two episodes last night. This season started off pretty well.

This show is definitely entertaining to watch, but I'm not really sure what there is to talk about.

Will they catch some crabs?!~?! Tune in next week.

At the base of it there is always the crab catching (which hasn't started well this year) but you also have those awesome/terrible events like the car prank, the rogue wave from season 1 (i think), the ship going under last season, and Time Bandit saving the day, which spice up the general flow of the show. One of my favorites for sure.

ya its getting pretty tense this season. insane weather, everyone having a shitty catch, and when the doctor told phil that his pain and trouble breathing wasnt from the accident...youch.

Yeah, I find this show much more exciting than Ice Road Truckers. I enjoy Ice Road, but there are some rather long/boring stretches. I imagine that the job is somewhat the same.
