Keep in mind that bee train is making it. I am extremely wary considering how the studios other shows have turned out.

Sorry I didn't realize you were talking about Summer shows.

Doesn't that usually mean it will be bad? Although that usually applies to their manga adaptions. Strike Witches is wierd..flying mecha loli's, but atleast it has good VAs.

I see Slayers on there, therefore it's going to be a good season.

Unless they massively fuck it up somehow I couldn't agree with you more.

Okay...Tower of Druaga #12. What the fuck. Seriously. That was like the worst season finale i've ever seen.

wiki says..

Quote:
The series ends with very little of the main characters' motivations explained, and with the promise of a sequel beginning in July 2009: The Tower of Druaga: the Sword of Uruk.
The last 10 minutes of #12 really left a shitty taste in my mouth.

So, Kure-nai ended pretty well imo. Overall I really enjoyed the series it's been one of my favorites. The animation quality never let up and the whole story was kind of touching. Plus, there was just enough action dispersed throughout it as well that helped move the story along.

Ep 12 of Druaga is such a cocktease. And a whole fucking year to continue it? Christ.

Agreed about it being a tease. I almost feel like I wasted a series by watching it, though i still felt the opening sequence was cool, heres to hoping school and the fall lineup make the year go by a bit faster

this "ending" just leaves so many questions unanswered

Druaga is yet another example of why I try to wait a bit on watching anime. For whatever reason the past few years instead of a 26 episode season, 12/13 eps and the next set a year later is becoming the norm. Even the latest gundam was split in half.

IM ANGRY

I'm not surprised at how Druaga ended since they dropped two big hints of it happening that way in the first episode. The ending was honestly better than I was expecting... I was expecting it to be another dream, story, level in a video game, or some shit, at least it was something in "universe." I do have to question why there is a year wait between series though, it wouldn't be as bad if was starting up again in 3-6 months. Well at least we have an ETA on a sequel unlike Code Geass.

Apparently Vampire Knight ends next episode with another season starting up in October which is what Druaga should have done...

Also noticed Lina's VA is doing the OP and ED for Slayers again which makes me happy for some reason. Really looking forward to Slayers Revolution and I hope Naga makes an appearance but I doubt it'll happen.

This is the Slayers Revolution OP song, not sure if the footage is from the actual OP (doubt it is) but it is certainly recent, think it came from a DVD box set that came out a couple months ago. ED song is out as well.

According to Moonphase Diary, a second season of ef - a tale of memories, entitled “ef - a tale of melodies,” has been greenlit for production. The news was originally revealed at RONDO ROBE 2008. The staff is generally the same as with the previous season — animation studio SHAFT, director Oonuma Shin, etc. It was also reported that Mizuki and Yuuko will most likely be the main focus.
Fuck yeah, loved the last season. Yeah it made me cry, so what.
