Depressing but good ending and I was very satisfied with it.

More detailed scans will show that the inhabitants moved underground, creating the city of Zion, which is a base from which they fight the machines.

Yeah, well, the strongest part about BSG is that its episodes COULD stand alone, but also furthered the plot and character development. ("33", "Water", "Colonial Day," "Pegasus" (!!!!!!!!!!), "Downloaded", etc...and alot in S4 fit this category too hence people complaining it was "slow") But in late S2 and S3 we got eps that were basically filler: "Scar", "Black Market", "The Woman King", "Dirty Hands"; and then a few filler eps which were so badly written that they actually HARMED character development (I'm looking at you, "Hero", but S4's "Sine Qua Non" is almost as bad).

Just saw Razor and all of s4 this past week, good stuff. I actually prefered the early s4 to the late part - the cyclon in-fighting, the interactions between the 4 cylons on galactica, even some of the religious/political stuff was great stuff.

The vision stuff started getting way out of hand though, every fucking person started having visions on what to do next.

I doubt we have seen the last of the other-cylons. The scenes with the metal toasters were just plain awesome, they are some scary ass motherfuckers.

Its interesting that the human cylons number themselves as 1-7 instead of 6-12, isn't it? The "number 1" cylon is chronologically older than 3 of the 4 fleet cylons as well.

Really hope they have an episode where they breakdown the cylon history - old models flee the 12 colonies with some sort of hybrid and human prisoners, more hybrids are created (1 per ship?) as well as human cylon models (who are the templates? why specific ages and "outlooks" on life?), 4 or 5 are inserted into the 12 colonies as infants and abandoned (?), the cylons split into a faction focused on hybrids (razor) and the humanform cylons (bsg). What were the experiments they were doing? Its a bit strange that there is no central computer AI either per ship (the hybrid is the closest thing) or a overall centralized Cylon master computer.

I'm guessing we'll see the 5th be a new person they find on Earth, makes sense to introduce a new character especially since more will continue to die.

I've been thinking about what the hybrid said in regards to Kara.

The Harbinger of Death.

Could this be another religious overtone and make it seem like "the leap of faith"? Or is there more to come?

Someone else posted on here about that and I agree with what he/she said....that Harbinger of Death meant death for the Cylons since they can't resurrect now.

What is the exact phrasing of the prophecy? "Kara Thrace will lead the human race to its end"?

Because when I saw the finale, I couldn't help but think that the prophecy was already true; we were just fooled by the tense. Kara lead the fleet to the original (our) Earth, which had already seen its "end" (by us killing each other off).

And in the midst of confusion he will find her
Enemies brought together by impossible longings
Enemies now joined as one

And the fifth, still in the shadow, will claw toward the light hungering for redemption
that will only come in the howl of terrible suffering

The seven, now six, self described machines who believe themselves without sin
But in time, it is sin that will consume them
They will know enmity, bitterness, the wrenching agony of the one splintering into the many

And then they will join the promised land, gathered on the wings of an angel.
Not an end, but a beginning.
Kara Thrace will lead the human race to its end.
She is the herald of the apocalypse, the harbinger of death.
They must not follow her.

As my own existence comes to a close, only to begin anew, in ways uncertain.
All this has happened before, and it will happen again

Battlestar Galactica | Video | Comic-Con International | San Diego 2008 | SCIFI.COM

ComicCon panel of the cast and producers moderated by Kevin Smith. I find the last question about the closures of the character was really good. Atleast we'll know they won't bend us over and fuck us until Caprica comes out. This chapter's coming to a close.

I thought it was pretty good, didn't enjoy the first season much but the show found its groove after that. The 'mid-season finale' was really great the first half. They've done a good job of turning characters I didn't like (Tigh) and making me like them, though if there's one consistent part of this show is I hate nearly every female on it that isn't a Boomer Cylon. Starbuck and the President are so damn unlikable and I really despised the chief's wife (Kelly?), was the one good thing the indian cylon did with her screentime. I expected the show to be a little better, some parts would so some serious potential but they never seem to capitalize on that. I could still rank about 10 shows that excite me more than this and I wish after all that tease we would've found out the 5th.
