The 'new' battlestars aren't in that preview that I could see...

Aye, but 60+% of it is. That's of course not to say that someone didn't just create some very bloody seamless CG and mixed it in... but I highly doubt it.

The CGI of those "new battlestars" looks very very poor, if it is real.

If the Battlestars are real, where did they come from? Earth?

I've been thinking about it, and I think reinforcements are the only way they're going to survive that battle. One battlestar can't hold out against 4 basestars for 20 minutes. Not going to happen without a miracle..

Also, we know that at least 1 of the civilian ships goes down taking with it at least 500ish humans. Even if the Galactica survives 20 minutes, there won't be much left of the human race...

Unhappy

Actually it's looking more and more that the shots with those new Battlestars were fanmade.

Shit, now that I remember that trailer was debunked by SA in their BSG thread. Ah well.

Posted this in the SGA thread, but it's also relevant here:

There's a rumored schedule circulating the internet now. Due to the writer's strike happening into the middle of BSG production, SciFi is planning to air only the first half of BSG starting in April and finishing around July. Instead of taking a break in original programming, they will move forward either SGA or Eureka, or both, for a summer season. The 2nd half of BSG would then continue airing in the fall/winter.

SGA is made in Canada so the US writer's strike caused no interruption, and Eureka was unaffected due to it's offset production cycle.

You do know that BSG is filmed/written in Vancouver?

The writing staff are members of the WGAW as far as I know. I don't think it particularly matters WHERE you do your writing, only what guild you are a part of.
