Rather slow moving episode but pretty good. Its interesting that the basestar is self healing. Poor Gaeta but Roslin was right, what a way to find out that he has a good voice. I'm wondering if his song has any significance but I didn't listen to it that closely.

I think though if I was a colonial stationed on the basestar, I'd be trying to nail every 6 and 8 that I came across.

You could see the conflict on Tigh's face when that 6 was explaining what they wanted, how they wanted to find the 5. It will be good to see how the cylons react to being mortal.

I didn't like Athena killing that 6 model but I guess we don't know if she is dead or not. It is interesting to note that the 6 model was named a leader by Kara, she could be part of the opera house vision and with a few bullets in her, she could be the dying leader. What if that 6 leads them all to earth?

Sweet the basestar jumped as soon as the hybrid was plugged back in. Ends on a good cliff hanger.

The writers had worked out what the arc in the back half [of the fourth season] was already... I think [the strike] actually benefited the show in some ways in that... we started to think about things that we could change, things we could make better. And when the strike was over... we wrote the second half of the season all over again..

Earth's discovery abruptly ended the first war. Civil War broke out with part of the fleet never knowing about Earth. The rest stay there.
The Final Five destroyed Earth, which set off the others programming for the 2nd War against the Colonies.
BSG decides to leave with the rebels, and they execute the F5. The last scene is them waking up on a Rez Ship behind the Moon, and two fully equipped base-stars. And the chase is on again!
