+14 Internets | The original series also had the beings of lights, which had teh magic powerz. They were essentially the original Q/Ascended Ancients/etc.

| The beings of light werent really aliens, and they definately were not bug eyed. They were essentially angels, and I've heard some of the characters claim to be angels (Head Six and Head Leoben come to mind). |

| And Baltar managed to get his consciousness fused with Six's after the nuclear explosions. Zany as it is, I think the only way to explain this (assuming Baltar is not the 12th) is that everyone's a Cylon, that the whole "human race" as seen in Battlestar was exiled from Earth after their version of the Cylon war, and over time forgot their origins, and the Cylons returning to the Colonies presage the Colonials returning to Earth. |

However it is doubtful since it does not explain how some cylons were susceptible to the human virus and how other were not. | |

| What confuses me about the whole Earth having battlestars is wouldnt earth follow a completely different technological path than the 12 colonies. Why would Earth have battlestars that look exactly like the 12 colonies battlestars. ALways annoys me when I see a story about a race that shoots people off into space and then they are at the same technological level when they meet back up. Same thing happened in Starcraft when the UED showed up. Useing the same battlecruisers as the Confederacy. One of my pet peeves I guess. |

| There would be some intriguing moments if the Cylons ever encountered Data or the Borg. I don't think they'll encounter Earth in a super advanced time, probably either similar or a small amount of progression forward. Either that or Earth will be nothing but ruins and an important last message of wisdom. |
