Survivor 16: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites

Amanda played a good game in China up until the final TC. She's not doing that bad this time either. She is being kind of a dingbat with the ozzie thing, but she is in a strong alliance and has been able to mostly stay under the radar. When people want to break that alliance they want to go after Parvati or Ozzie but no one mentions her. Of course now that they're split the alliance probably won't make it back to the merge (unless the other players are idiots, always a possibility) but of all of them I think Amanda has the best chance of surviving and making new connections after the merge. She was sort of a challenge monster post-merge in China as well, although it was against a fairly weak field.

I think that Eliza, Tracy, and Cirie are doing the best job of manipulating people right now. Tracy is kind of in trouble without Chet though. She is going to have to try to convince Ozzie and Amanda to dump Cerie, which they probably won't do. Why the hell did Ozzie tell his alliance about the HII? If I found that sucker no one would know about it.

Man Chet and Kathie had to be two of the weakest players ever. They obviously had no concept of what being on this show was going to be like.

Since we're 2 players short now will that reduce the length of the season since it's typically 1 person a week going home? I suppose they could make it F2 instead of F3 and get one week back but that seems pretty lame that they would have to give up entire episodes because of accidents or people being weak.

Ozzie is most likely dogmeat after the merge if he makes it that far. He's just too big a threat for everyone to go up against. He's obviously going to be an immunity monster plus he has the HII but if the rest of the tribe doesn't want to just hand him the million bucks they are gonna have to send him home at the first opportunity.

They probably won't shorten the season. They will just make some non-elimination shit or something. Lots of advertiser money in a set amount of episodes. But I agree that it will be lame if they do.

First of all Kathie looked exactly like Howard Stern. Secondly she was such a cry baby. OMG its raining out. At least she had a cave to hide in and stay dry. Past survivors were in the rain for a week+ with a crappy shelter and NO CAVE. Seriously how do they get these weak ass contestants out of the millions that apply? What do these people expect? The game is called Survivor and every season people complain about how bad it is, of course it isn't gonna be easy.

Amy is trying to play a good strategic game. I loved her plan for getting Ozzy out, but the execution was a bit poor. She could have made it happen. Hopefully she keeps trying because I always thought she had been a good player.

Speaking of Amy, I was jealous of Ozzie last night being in a shower with a topless Amy and Amanda rubbing soap all over them. Lucky bastard,

BTW, did anyone else notice that Eliza owned both the physical and the puzzle part of today's immunity challenge? All those favorites who called her a weak link a couple weeks ago when she was sick should be apologizing.

Actually I was surprised that wednesday wasnt the usual filler/recap episode. Thats certainly what I was expecting, although that may mean I wasnt paying enough attention to the "on next weeks' survivor" teaser the week before.

Ozzie was one of the main ones dissing her. He's a beast in the physical parts of the challenges, but his gameplay is pretty terrible. He told everyone in his alliance about his immunity idol. That was a bad move, but luckily his alliance has been stupid enough to not fuck him over. And he has been way too confident and cocky, which sets people against you...even if they are aligned with you.

I imagine they'll vote Ozzie out soon, or at the very least, flush out the immunity idol.

I think the recaps typically come the week before or after the merge.

Ozzy was pretty poor at the gameplay his season too (and just as cocky - remember him throwing a challenge?). He likely got as far as he did because he had Yul to do all the thinking.

This season is much better than China at least. I didn't like a single thing about China.. it didn't even feel like Survivor.

I'm good and content with the remaining players now. I don't think there's anyone I dislike anymore! Well, I think Erik is a goofball, but I don't dislike him.
