The script was rewritten and will feature Fran, the replicator that Rodney created in BAMSR.

While it sucks Wier wont be back to finish the teaser, them brining back Fran kicks even more ass. Fran was teh win! Plus it will make for interesting McKay moments

I really enjoyed Fran's sincerity. It was such a breath of fresh air to see a /good/ replicator, granted, her only job was to commit suicide (pretty much). I'm hoping they bring her back as a GOOD replicator rather than have all the minds of evil replicators. :\

GateWorld - Wood: Continuum Is Big

The expectation is that Continuum will blow AoT and traditional episodes out of the water. Right now the tentative assertion is that the events will take place during or just before the beginning of Atlantis' 5th Season. Also, apparently Amanda Tapping will have available screen time in the second half of the season since Sanctuary's first TV season will be in post production by then.

Continuum will be released to DVD sometime in July, Atlantis is expected to begin airing around that timeframe as well for it's summer season.

Confirmed in the cast for the movie is Jacqueline Samuda as Nirrti, plus "many guest stars including characters that have been "killed off" (and ones that have gone "off the radar", not dead) during the TV run"

Well that makes sense that some characters would appear again, since the entire time line would technically be different according to the movie plot blurb.

If the SG program never existed, then the Goald would be king bitch of the galaxy and the Asgard would have probably died off to the Replicators.

Continuum has been confirmed for both Blu-ray and DVD release. Running time is 99 minutes, 3 minutes shorter than Ark of Truth, although 99 minutes better

Stargate Atlantis Season 5 Begins July 11th on Sci Fi, but that didn't stop the first episode from leaking. Interesting to note this is the first leak of a finished episode, the priors have all been workprints or Itunes mix-ups.

I personally haven't seen the leak yet, but I don't see how the entire premiere episode going on the internet could help the show.

Kaylee and the Doctor seem to be promoted to main cast which is probably a good thing. Kaylee is hot, and the doctor is a decent actor. Carter was bumped down to a special guest appearance, so guess we won't be seeing much more of her.

Amanda Tapping is moving on to a new show called Sanctuary, so she's leaving Stargate. Sanctuary was originally just on the web but is being remade for TV. Sanctuary - TV.com

So the season starts back up tonight. Does anyone care? Usually when I start a show, I watch it until the season finale. But this show seems like it is meandering with no real direction. First, the focus of the show was the Wraith, then it was the replicators, and now its who else? It seems like there is no main story to the show. Every season is reduced to the same formula. At the beginning of the season they get out of the impossible situation they ended the season in. The first few eps have big budget special effects. Then in the middle, we get filler eps with no effects because they are low on money (the shows writers have admitted this). At the end of the season, they get put back into another impossible situation and the budget is back up. Rinse and repeat. It seems like they are more concerned with keep the show on for a long time and collecting ad revenues that actually taking a risk and progressing the story. Supposedly the ratings have been way down. Maybe Sci Fi can cancel this show and being back BSG and SG1. /end rant.

Live ratings are down for this show and scores of others, but delayed DVR viewings are skyrocketing. 9pm Friday Night used to be a hot timeslot, but now it's hit record on the DVR and go out Friday/Saturday nights.

As for the show, the first episode already leaked, and the season is shaping up the same as the others as Lyrical has already pointed out. There are going to be some really good episodes, with fillers in between.
