| HDTV Question Looking for a new LCD HDTV between 37 inches and 42 inches. Space prohibits anything larger....and anything smaller, well no thanks! Just a few questions for you guys: 1. Does 720p vs 1080p really matter on the smaller sizes I am looking at? Basically, is it worth spending the extra money for the higher res? Will the bang-for-buck be there? 2. How do build in HD tuners work? Do I need to get an HD box from Comcast or can I just plug the line out of the wall into the television on a set that has the build in tuner? Thanks in advance! |

2. The built in HD tuner would be used for over the air HD channels(local only) with the use of an antenna. So if you still want all the extra channels you'll need a cable box/satellite. My other comment is that last years 42 inch model of the Sharp Aquos is really cheap at the moment for a top of the line tv. Personally I own a 37 inch Westinghouse but I'm jealous because I ended up finding my dad a deal on the 42" Sharp Aquos for a total of only around $1050... Sears had it on clearance for 1350 + they had -10% at the time he bought it. On top of that, added a 15% off coupon for being a first time online buyer through Sears. Check Slick Deals for the occasional good deal on TVs. Last edited by OneArmedScissor : 09-01-2007 at 04:31 PM. | |

+25 Internets | That chart is scary, really make me wonder what is worth buying. I don't think I am EVER farther than a MAX of 15 feet away when gaming or watching movies.
