Shows that should have ended a season early.

In the spirit of the other thread.

Alias. Should have ended at season 4. The final episode of season 4 wrapped up the arc from season one and would have been a perfect series finale. Season five and the actual finale a year later were just terrible.

Seinfeld. Larry David was absent the last season and it showed.

Simpsons. Should have been put out of its misery years ago. The glory years of the mid-to-late nineties are just a fading memory now. With each passing season syndicated Simpsons fills up with more and more crap.

Babylon 5. The plotline was supposed to span 5 years, got shortened to 4 when word was that the show was to be cancelled at the end of the 4th, and some new crap was hashed out when they were extended for one more season. It wasn't very good.

Season 10 of friends was ok. They had some good episodes though.

3's company went on to damn long.

King of Queens went on 1 to long i think.

That 70's show was horrible without Eric. So count that one.

ER, should have ended around season 8 or 9. After they lost almost all of original cast it became suckage exteme. And i still hate them for killing Mark.

Lost. Oh right, not over yet. Should be. Although I admit I have seen not a lick of season 3, so maybe it's gold, I don't know. Still looking forward to it coming out, as I am entirely too lazy to download.

You're trying to pull semantics over naming conventions? It's the same damn series, they renamed it because the series creator left and had no part of that season. Whoever filled in sucked balls and it simply bombed. Where are you getting this "original" and implied "remake" from?

Yep, this is exactly what jumped to mind for me. But can we get rid of season 3 instead? God what an abomination. The rest was all watchable.

Buffy is another obvious candidate. Season 7 was tedious at best and easily the worst season of any Whedon show ever. SMG had no interest left in the show and it was sadly obvious.
