Combination of good strategy and good luck (i guess..) for the firefighter. he followed the other guy in powerball, had an injury occur to the gladiator in hang tough, and the gladiator totally whiffed on a bitchin move in the pyramid allowing him to get 5 i think (maybe 10).

I wish they still did it where the men and women did the same events..

For some reason I was expecting a more modern update and a more serious tone.

Instead it was so incredibly cheezy that it was great! Complete with totally scripted speeches from the contestants, a hairy man named Wolf howling and an obscenly large man in a skirt doing a voodoo dance. Will watch again.

The commentary between Hulk, Ali and the contestants was sooooo cheesy. I got to the point where I would fast forward in between events it was so bad. That being said, I will still watch the show. I will just Tivo it so I don't have to listen to Hogan & Ali =P

I want Celebrity American Gladiators. I'd like to see O-linemen like Lorenzo Neal and Steve Hutchinson standing in the way of contestants on the Gauntlet.

Yeah, it'd be nice to have athletes and not just buff actors.
