Crush destroyed the two women on the Joust again. I really enjoy watching her beat the shit out of the female contestants.

I can't believe Wolf fell from the rings.

Think we'll see a second season? If we don't I hope the female gladiators do porn. Well, Crush and Venom at least.

There will be a second season. Crush aka Gina said they are going to be taping the second season in March/April. She also plans on fighting soon too...maybe around June I guess. She was on Inside MMA this week.

Yep American Gladiators is one of the successes to come out of the writer's strike. It's already been picked up for a second season and I eagerly await!

I was pleased with the finale. They pulled out all the stops, with Crush and Titan on joust, and Wolf on hang tough (although he failed ).

I really don't think they should have done The Wall, though, because the one guy is a professional rock climber and it's just plain unfair to his opponent and the gladiators. Doing it in the preliminaries once is alright, but having it has an event in the finale? Weaksauce.

I think either way he was going to win the eliminator. I didn't agree with all the top ten moments though.

Oh I don't doubt he was going to win, but it just seemed cheesy to have something he was so incredibly good at as one of the finale events.

The top 10 moments were kind of crappy, but then again I'd have put the 4 injuries as numbers 4, 3, 2, and 1. For the other 6 I'd put some of the many smackdowns handed out by Crush, Wolf, Titan, and Justice.

They were just used as more filler (in addition to the never-ending commercials) to stretch the show for 2 hours anyway.

I definitely could have used more top moments over the long as introductions they did for all four contestants.

I was really disappointed with the two hour length. I was expecting them to do more events, or anything besides filler really, since it was the finale.

The fact that it was nothing more than a regular show with extra commercials and a ton of fluff to stretch it was a let down.

For next season's finale just give us a regular hour episode, please.

Agreed. Would have been much better if they added a round of Earthquake and Hit and Run.

This is truly one of the reasons that TiVo/DVR is one of the greatest inventions of our time. After the second episode I purposely stopped watching this show live, because if you speed through everything up until they actually start the events, you can literally watch an hour show in under 20 minutes and not feel like you lost anything. I did watch the intros for each person the first time they were on, but in the semi- and finals I sped right through that shit. The only time they fucked me was right at the one hour mark, they went like they were doing a commercial, and then went right into the event they had interrupted (speaking of which, Jesus I hate the "3, 2, 1" cue the logo smashing through the screen to commercial ploy they use over and over. We get it. If the music plays while he's counting down, they aren't going to actually start the event. Skip that shit).

Anyway, I sure hope they put that wall-climber dude on the wall event next season so he can rip some motherfuckers down. Chances are they'll probably stick both winners on Helga's tennis ball gun. Not sure what else she'll do though, since she sucks.

God it would be SO great to have him on The Wall. It'd be like Spider-Man himself is chasing them down.

Speaking of that, I don't understand having a contestant become a new American Gladiator. Contestants are all about speed and agility, because almost all events save a few require those attributes over brute strength. Gladiators, however, are almost always in positions where size and brute strength are required. I just can't see a contestant, who is almost certainly going to be a quick, agile, little guy/girl being able to do much as a gladiator against new contestants.

It would be awesome if he would be allowed to cross the wall and chase down both contestants.

I will be severely disappointed if one contestant isn't at least mildly injured in the premiere.

I was not disappointed! That was a pretty sick ankle injury. Here's hoping for many more to come!

Fantastic start to the 2nd season.

Pros:
No holding back; lots of Justice, Crush, and Titan
The new eliminator is badass. I love how Hulk described it as something like "spirit crushing"
Rocket on The Wall. I don't foresee any contestants winning against him. Although, the guy tonight was close.

Cons:
Jet and Rocket; they're both too weak to do a lot of events. Jet, for example, got bulldozed in Gauntlet. That would never happen to the other gladiators
The new events; Vertigo is stupid. Straight up race? Lame. We need contact events. And the rocket ball one is dumb because the gladiators can do little but flail around helplessly.

Overall a great start to the season.
