+2 Internets | Television Suggestions I'm going back to school soon and need a new TV. As a poor college kid, I'm trying to spend $400 or under (or under being the key word). All I'm looking to do is watch a little TV and play some games; I don't need my mind blown by the quality of the picture. Are there any particular models that really stand out in this price range? |

| Check out your local Wal-Mart, I bought a 32" LCD for the bedroom for about $550, they had a selection of 20" - 27" and they were in the 280-380 range. Around here atleast Wal-Mart is the best bet for good quality hdtv/lcd tv's. I also bought my 40" lcd and the wall mount, for just alittle bit over $1000. Or you could always just buy a regular ol TV and get a 32"+ for like 300 something heh. |

+29 Internets | Might as well post this here instead of starting a new thread... About to move to New York for a while and I'm not taking my stuff with me, so I also need a new TV Budget would be about $1200 or so. At this price range, would I be better served with an LCD or a Plasma? Would a rear projector be a good idea if I plan to use it as a monitor for my laptop? Samsung has a cool 50'' DLPs for $1,200, though I'd be perfectly happy with a 40'' screen... Laven: What LCD did you get, and are you happy with it? I'm not going to mount it to the wall, so that'd drop the price a little even... |
