It's funny because he always sings his theme.

Right now, they're in a filler part as the anime caught up with the manga -- but, the fillers have always been good compared to Naruto shit.

I kinda enjoyed the fillers. It makes you appreciate the main storyline even more when it arrived.

The fight scenes in Shippuuden have been downright amazing. The music is tremendous the flashbacks seem perfectly timed and everything seems seamless. In case you don't watch Shippuuden or haven't gotten there yet, I'm gonna put the following in spoilers:

Just curious, is the Japanese version a lot different from the US version? I was visiting a friend a week ago and her kid was watching Naruto on some kids channel, and I find it kind of strange that people are so crazy about it, if it's like the version I saw.

The violence and language are toned down a bit but it's essentially the same. The current Naruto airing in Japan is the sequel series which takes place 2 years later, so the characters are a bit more mature and the battles are more intense.

Not a sequel series. Same series, just renamed in mid track to go along with the new story arc. It literally went from episode 220 of Naruto to episode 1 of Naruto Shippuuden the next week.

If the anime is getting better, the manga is about ready to explode. Recent issue has all but confirmed who Naruto's father is (as if people didn't suspect already)

yeah, we're about to get 2 badass fights in the manga so the next couple months should be good.

Definitely, bro. I completely agree (with your spoiler tag). These last few episodes were absolutely amazing. That fight was long and intense. It surprises you every second of the way. Well done to the animators and writers, Jesus titty fucking Christ.

Yeah, the US version is a bit toned down. There's an actual site that shows the differences between the US and Japanese versions in specific episodes (or possibly all of them). I'll try and dig it up if I can.

Yeah Mek, it was always blatantly obvious who Naruto's parents were. The recent issues just reconfirmed it even more.

The entire fight sequence is probably all of 20 minutes long, but they've been fighting for what seems like 7 episodes now. Looks like the next one will be the end of that though. Spoiler Alert, click show to read: Since I don't read the manga, care to discuss the current speculation on Naruto's dad? Have they all but confirmed it's the 4th Hokage after all? That is at least who I always thought it would end up being.

I liked how they talked about Kakashi being a worthy successor as Hokage someday, with a Naruto long down the road. Also, jesus did Sasuke beat the hell out of Itachi. I'm soo ready for the anime Shippuuden episodes to catch up to the good stuff.
