| Hell's Kitchen I didn't see a thread on it. One of my fav shows just because I love watching Gordon Ramsey yell at people, especially when that fat asian cowboy was still on the show. Last edited by joz123 : 07-06-2007 at 09:59 AM. |

+2 Internets | Hell's Kitchen is funny, but I have to agree that overall Top Chef is the superior show. As an amusing aside, they interviewed Chef Tom Colicchio in a recent TV guide and he said that he didn't care for Gordon Ramsey or Hell's Kitchen because he doesn't believe in yelling at chefs who are trying to learn. Has anyone ever seen any of Gordon Ramsey's British shows? Apparently he's a very nice guy on them and only "turns it on" so to speak for the American audience, who expect Brits to be angry all the time. |

+2 Internets | Have you ever seen Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmare? He can tear into some of those people a bit worse than he does to the people on Hell Kitchen. On the F word, he's subdued a lot. But I suppose that's because he's worked with most of the people in his kitchen save the couple hes trying out, and it's more of a lighter food show. |

+18 Internets | Hells Kitchen is awesome if only for the fact that if you've ever worked in a higher end restaurant then you know that a vast majority of chefs are fucking insane, and they all curse like sailors. So, it's great to see that happen to people that aren't you. |

| It has been a few years since I cooked "professionally" but I will admit Hell's Kitchen is a guilty pleasure. Overall the funniest parts are the dishes. Pea risotto? Come on I can get a 5 year old to cook that. Wellingtons? That is filet mignon in puff pastry (again a brainless dish). The simple fact that most of the cooks can't even cook the simplest of dishes (pasta anyone) makes it hilarious. So, as other people have said. If you want "real" cooking watch Top Chef. If you want laughs, watch Hell's Kitchen. If you want to see Rory's impressive rack, watch Food Network. |
