| 2 direct to DVD movies planned for release this fall which wrap things up. The final show was nothing but a bridge to the movies and boring as hell (this from a SG1 fanatic) I am not suprised that nothing was said on here. After reading thru some threads as to what shows people like on here this board is full of 20 somethings that seem to have a strong liking for "chic flic" and reality type shows. I guess ScFi is too deep for most of the mouth breathers. Besides how many of the forum members really know any mythology outside of EQ or WoW? SG1 would have lost them immediately with the references to ancient mythology. |

And, the finale was lame as hell. This is from someone who has watched, to the best of my knowledge, every single episode of SG-1.

There's even a Stargate and Atlantis thread in this very forum, but the search function may have gone over your head. Was an ok ending, was more bummed in the first 10 minutes of the show than at the end. We'll have to see about the movies. At least Sam is moving the Atlantis, that should be interesting if done right.

+29 Internets | I imagine a lot of people saw the season finale when it hit torrents a few months ago. (aired outside the US first) Comments about it showed up then and the finale definitely wasn't worth watching over. That being said, I'm looking forward to the two movies. |

| I fucking love SG-1 but ya the finale was a huge let-down to say the least. Of course they cant destroy the Ori since they got movies coming soon. And the whole thing about how the Ori can track them wherever they go since they installed the new Asguard tech on the ship, just for the whole episode to be about them slowing time to the point where they have years to figure out how to escape the lazer just to jump to hyperspace to be tracked again was mind boggling. The movies better fucking rock after that episode. And I thought O'neil was supposed to come back in the last episode? Fucking lame. Carter moving to Atlantis seems like a good move since her and Mckay butt heads a lot. |

+161 Internets | I'm worried about the state of scifi television. Here's the situation: B5- gone Star Trek - gone Farscape - gone SG-1 - gone Galactica - 1 season left Atlantis - still going After Galactica finishes its last season, all we will have left is Atlantis.

+61 Internets | Well, last rumor mill shit I heard was that there was the possibility of a new stargate spinoff series as well. Galactica needs to die, soon. They took a great sci fi war thriller and turned into a badly managed soap opera with 90% filler episodes. Clearly we need SeaQuest DSV to make a comeback. |

| I was a bit disappointed in the Asgard dying off as well. "For the past ten years we haven't thought you developed enough to give any significant technology... but here, we changed our minds!" Not to mention the Asgard were a really interesting part of Stargate, which are now gone forever! I also didn't quite understand the Ori tracking their ship part, did the Ori suddenly forget where Earth is? I'm sure their final destination and site of technological integration would be pretty obvious. Oh well, still love the series as a whole. |

+13 Internets | mostly covered in page 2 of http://www.fohguild.org/forums/milli...tlantis-2.html I still think it would have made an average episode at best, but as as series finale, it was just so disappointing. Look for the great series ending thread to see what sort of standard it should have been at. |

+14 Internets | Fuck the last episode aired already? I always fucking forget it's back on TV again. I always wake up on Saturday and thinking "dammit, SG1 was on". Guess I'll have to hope for a repeat. I wanted to see the Asguard go Jihad ;(
