+13 Internets | 11th Hour Surprised no one has bothered to make a thread for this yet. It's a remake of a British series, about a scientist guy who goes around investigating mysteries, so that makes it similar to Fringe / X-Files, but its a lot more realistic and grounded in real science imo. The biggest negative for me is that the pilot was an almost exact copy of the British one, so you could really notice its shortfalls. The main guy probably does a decent job, but doesn't compare to Patrick Stewert. Likewise the bodyguard chick seemed a little more cold / hard ass type. |

+4 Internets | I never saw the original so can't compare, but I have watched it so far, and I'm liking it well enough. I like it slightly better than Fringe at this point just because most of the stuff is, as you mentioned, grounded in real science. I'd much rather someone just be smart and figure things out than the "Oh, I used to work on something like this 20 years ago" that Fringe does every week. I still watch Fringe too, but to me 11th Hour is easier to watch for the actual plot. Character interaction is better on Fringe though. So far anyway. 11th Hour chick is hotter though. |
