Sam is the dog hanging around (in the book, but there's no way they changed something so integral to the entire series). He's a shapeshifter. I have no idea why there was another collie that looks just like him in that one scene a couple episodes ago. The way his shapeshifting works is based on the last animal he sees, so I'm guessing he uses that dog to get his 'shape'. He also has a calendar in his office opened to a picture of a collie.

Good episode this last Sunday. The hippy chick Jason hooked up with is also massively hot. I'm wondering what the catch is, though. She seems a little -too- easy going. I have a feeling she finds dumb guys to bang/mooch off of, then she moves on. She's a lil far from Connecticut.

The chick Jason hooked up with was really hot, reminded me a lot of Zooey Deschanel. Thought this ep., was a bit worse than last weeks, but overall a step up over the start of the season.

If Sam is a shapeshifter, I was expecting a bit more competency in taking on those vampires. But maybe vampires are like the top dogs of the "magical" realm, and shapeshifters are much, much weaker.

As far as the hot chick, Lizzy Caplan, I kept expecting her to turn into a vampire at some point and drain Jason or form some sort of "symbiotic" relationship, "we allow each other to drink our blood", but I guess she may be just a mortal. I just thought that she hooked-up way too fast with Jason.

Looks like Jason's new gal-pal isn't so nice afterall Well, morally speaking. She's still hot.

That bit with Bill at the beginning was odd. I thought it would end up being a dream sequence with it being so damn random.

Overall it was a good episode with a nice cliff-hanger

slow episode but towards the end where Sookie is using her powers to help the vampires was very interesting to me.

They had plenty of opportunities to have the actress do that, so, I think we won't see anything from her. Besides, I think the "pillow talk" scene with Lizzy Caplan should make up for any complaints we might have about seeing skin
