| i respect your opinion but what is so bad about this? the anime style for the ova resembles the manga whereas the tv series had its own style (which is not bad). the plot so far is about the same in the tv series and the manga... i wouldn't say hellsing the tv series is bad but the last 4-5 episodes were beyond retarded not to mention the story was totally altered in the tv series |

| I liked the OVA, I'm a major fan of the TV series. There certainly was a difference in the animation style and it didn't really matter to me. I can see this is more "manga-like" in it's scenery, some of the shots and angles reminded me of Sin City for some reason. It's really cool though, while the TV series is still great just more "fluid". Spoilers: Basically the first OVA is pretty much the same as a few of the first TV series and I assume they continue that way with the organisation creating freaks/semi-vampires. I look forward to seeing the second part, but someone said the OVA followed the manga pretty close - I mean, the TV series does that as well then? It's all the same - vampire priest taking over a village and police force is sent and owned, hello hot Seras Victoria and Alucard comes and saves the day and makes her a vampire by shooting through her and thus killing the vampire priest meanwhile, etc. etc. with the young couple, Anderson etc. The only thing I can say is I hope the second OVA isn't the same as the TV series one. It wasn't bad, I liked how it was just Alucard versus other major "boss". It'd prefer something like that instead of a human organisation.

| I love the Hellsing manga story line, so I can't wait to watch the Ultimate OVA DVD when it comes out December 5th. The two disc limited edition comes with a bunch of extras that should be cool. Found the official trailer that's included with the double disc set too. I really like it! You can watch it here:YouTube - Hellsing OVA Trailer--Broken English |
