| Sci-Fi originals always have weak special effects, and shitty acting. That wouldn't bother me so much (I mean what do you expect) but they are usually really boring too. Shit just drags on forever, then you get some sort of action sequence that's usually goofy because of the poor writing, or bad effects. I'll check it out and hope for the best, but my expectations are low.

| It was not that bad. The acting was so-so with several lesser known actors however it did have Max Von Sydow and Christanna Loken as well as some other actors whose face was familiar but I could not remember their names. The special effects were not so bad. It wasn't exactly compelling but wasn't a snooze fest either. It is basically a retelling of the The Nibelungenlied which is actually a German folktale but has always been tied to Norse mythology. It is probably one of the most well known operas by Wagner and was basis for what Tolkien used when he created the Lord of the Rings. Part 2 is on tonight at 9 PM. |

| The dragon was really well done, too bad the story is just rediculous. Who walks in solo on a dragon and just challenges it straight up. Dragon shoulda walked all over him. And the whole thing about dont take our gold or we will curse you? Who cares when you're some vapor anyway? Really it just turns out to be a subpar tradegy They had a decent budget and characters, they should have found a better script. |

| Hopefully he was referring to the one-shot movies and not the original series. There is no doubt that the special effects and acting on BSG and even on the Stargate shows is good. Dark Kingdom overall was meh! I watched the second part and it really didn't do anything for me. I guess it was supposed to be a cross between The Nibelungenlied and a Shakesperean tragedy. Good in concept but unfortunately it just lacked something to make it feel epic or even important. If you take as a tragic love story gone bad then you can probably find some merit in it. I'd give it a C+ overall. |

Because it was made by Sci-Fi 2 years ago? Anyways I checked this out last night and it was ok, I thought the Queen of iceland was hot as hell. It made the show worth watching. Also I hated the ending, I was looking for redemption and revenge, instead I got dead and the end. | |
