| Deadwood Has anyone been watching this? I just started to get the episodes and i'm almost done season 1. I find it to be an interesting show. I may just be bias because i like old western movies; a regular TV show is even better. I like to consider it the BSG of the western genre (not to mention its something to catch up on and watch until BSG starts up again  )What's everyone's else take on it; everyone else who watches it that is. | Season 2 comes out on DVD May 23rd, which gives you a month to catch up if you have yet to enjoy season 2. Great show, the best characters and writing on TV ever.

| I watched the first few episodes of season 1 and was very impressed, but lost track of it. I am going to have to get my hands on seasons 1 and 2 and have a marathon viewing one weekend, this is just one of those shows that seems too good to pass up. |

| You know those TV drinking games? If you watch Deadwood and take a shot every time somebody says "Fuck" or "cocksucker" you will be in a coma before the show is half over. Agree though, it's a great show. I've seen every episode of season one like 4 or 5 times now. Season 1 is on ON-Demand right now if you have Comcast digital cable + HBO. Been going through them again and it's just good dirty, bloody, smelly fun. Swearengen is awesome. I could hardly stand the episodes in season two where he was sidelined with the kidney stones. | I've seen season 1, can't wait for season 2 to come out on DVD (I don't have HBO). I'll just reiterate what everyone else has said: awesome fucking show. The writing is definitely the best in any TV show. Given that, the only complaint I would have is the plot is kind of... meandering? I thought it was hard to get into at first just cause I couldn't really tell the direction of the show. The characters and writing make up for that though and then some. |

| I was kind of pissed when they killed off Wild Bill Hickok in the first few episodes because I really liked his character, but then I found out that they were just being accurate with what happened in real life to Wild Bill. Still that felt a little cheesy like they killed off a main character just for TV purposes, but regardless of that I still love the show. |
