Stole season one off the network the other day, plowed through it in about two days, just have the season finale left.

Pretty good series, ranks up there with Tombstone for me. A little more gunfight ass-kicking wouldn't hurt, but it's definitely not needed.

Another great Al episode. That line at the begining about him telling Johnny to close his flap because he wanted to be able to have his eggs this morning was hilarious. Him and Dan taking out those 2 cornish assassins was fucking brutal as well. Charlie walks in and is like "uh...bye!". And I do believe this is the first episode in history where Jane actually spoke for 5 minutes without uttering a single swear word ;p

Al taking that rock pick to the hand = holy shit. He definately has a plan in his mind...he didnt want anyone to retaliate, yet anyways.

Looks like Alma is babyless judging from next week's episode. And Mr. Wu is back! COCKSUCKA!!!

At least Deadwood hasn't lost its balls like the sopranos did this season!

I haven't watch Deadwood before but heard great things. Do you guys think I could watch this season and then go back and watch the other seasons? I did this with the Sopranos this year. If you could PM that would be great, I haven't read any of this thread to avoid any potential spoilers.

Season 3 depends alot on Season 2 storywise. You might be pretty lost if you didnt have the background from the previous ones.

Its hard to jump in on a Deadwood episode without having alot of the backstory to fill in the gaps. You cant just one shot an episode in this series as it truly is connected to the other episodes pretty tightly.

That being said, I really wish they werent canceling Deadwood. Sopranos jumped the Shark a few seasons back.

There are even plots going way back to season one that you may not realize are still going on in season three without having seen them. Better off to tape/tivo the new ones and watch the old ones first!

Does it surprise anyone, though? Their way of speaking and the vocabulary alone (it's definitely not just cussing, especially after season one) would put it out of reach for most viewers.

I miss the guy from last season :/

When he told Bullock they weren't retaliating right then he said something along the lines of

"I want mine served cold"

IE: Revenge. He's definately going to hit back in a brutal and meticulous fashion.

This show is so ridiculously good.

When I first started watching Season 1, I automatically assumed that Seth Bullock was going to be the good guy, and that he would perenially be doing battle with the bad guy, Al Swearengen. That would have been true of just about any other show on TV, but these characters are so much more complicated and layered.

I keep having flashbacks to Simon & Simon when they show Mr. Hearst.

Last episode was great as well.

"Wu. Hearst. Swedgin"

Seriously the best show on TV right now, nothing comes close in my opinion (with Carnivàle cancelled).
