I wonder what number Doctor they are up to now? I'm trying to remember from when I was a teen but I thought it was 13 total incarnations and they were up to like 7 when either I stopped watching or they stopped producing more episodes.

Well it was broadcasted here a while back, but I didn't dig the first episodes I encountered, mainly because I think Billie Piper was/is a v bad choice for her Doctor-who sidekick role.
(bit of a spoiler below)

-They had a few interesting things, a bit of scare factor (living mannequins + flying darleks? :|) on some episodes, I don't know how the American scene is going to like it.. Piper grr.
Christopher Eccleston is money for it though. I never got into it to watch the remainder of the season, probably didn't watch enough episodes to get into it.

McCoy (last of the old TV series Docs) was the seventh Doctor, Paul McGann (TV Movie) was eighth, Eccleston (new TV series) was ninth.

I was watching the old Dr. Who a few months back...

The word Arcanite (WoW) comes from an episode of the original Dr. Who. They were weird looking monsters who looked sorta like flood infected humans from Halo.

They were after an arcanite crystal which looks just like the one from WoW.

Also arcanite is a real mineral made of potassium sulfate.

The more you know...ta-da

Best present I ever got was the complete Tom Baker collection. My penis grew three sizes too large that day. Been a fan of Dr. Who since I was like, 3. I even have an original tardis key.

I don't think there will ever be a better Doctor Who. I believe he was #5 and also the longest running/most popular doctor of them all. Too bad a bunch of the original actors are dead since they can never do a Nine Doctors episode although with digital technology they could probably find a way.

They made the Daleks fly in this one because in the old one they couldnt even climb a flight of fucking stairs, making for an easy escape. Now you're truely screwed ;p Plus their weapons got upgrades...I heard they suck some dude's head into that plunger looking thing, complete with the sound of cracking bones.

Baker was #4. #5 was Davison with that fucking stick of celery.

Can't wait for the new season to start. Not sure how I feel about such a young doctor. However, I do believe I saw the return of the cybermen and possibly sontarens in the various previews, though I could be wrong. Would be awesome.

I really hope that they allow for the show to go more of an away-from-Earth appeal though.

Not a big fan of Billy Piper either. Sometimes I feel I want to punch her in the teeth for being so goddamn annoying. Personally I still get a hardon everytime I think of Romana. *boing*

Ya the Cybermen make a return. In the first Dalek episode, you see a head of a Cyberman in this warehouse. Supposedly in the 2nd season, they have a full blown Cybermen reveal.

I watched Dr Who Friday night on Sci Fi with Eccleston as the doctor. I really like the cute blonde he's paired up with. The season opening episode was meh, but the one where the earth dies had a great theme. Until I get a new gf I might try to catch all the dr who's I can on Friday nights. I used to watch Dr who when I was younger but it was some bushy haired guy playing the doctor. It was interesting but I like how they updated the show with current technology like cell phones etc... I hope the writers find some other good themes/story lines like the end of the earth.

I watched the opener last friday, it was ok. that bitch seriously needs some acting lessons though. She just didnt really act like someone which got scooped up from the present time tossed into some spaceship, meeting all these aliens and shit all the while shes watching the earth which is about to be destroyed.. She was not believable at all.

But Id like to spank that big ass of hers while im laying the pipe though. shes definitely got that "fuck me im a slut look" to her.
