Can't wait to see Family Guy's comeback. This is going to be a grab-the-popcorn-and-hang-on War of the Cartoons (and fans).

They were making fun of thier own show and Comedy Central the whole time. While poking fun of Family Guy's non-storyline jokes.

I'm just saying this shit has pissed a good number of people off and is really showing who the true Family Guy fans are and who the true South Park fans are. Also, I fully expect McFarlane to come back swinging.

But thanks for being a douche.

Am I the only one that likes the new family guys more than the old ones? When Osama fucked up his video to America was classic.

"Maybe I should, just like, walk out with these giant sunglasses and act like they aren't there. Like, like, 'Death to the infidels... What? Whats so funny?' Hahaha, that guy knowss what I'm talking about!"

Family Guy is 10 times the show South Park is, ever has been, or ever will be. Sorry, but it's true.

Family Guy doesn't take itself seriously -- and sure, it has a formula, but so what? It doesn't pretend to be anything beyond that. It's basically a half hour of one-liners and gags. It's the animated equivalent of a stand-up routine.

It doesn't hide behind some stupid storyline at the expense of jokes. It's more about total laughs per minute, at the expense of story. And in an animated comedy, who really cares about story? It's the jokes we want. Family Guy delivers better jokes, more consistently, than any other show out there right now.

QFT. I find the family guy to be the 2nd funnies animated show out there behind the Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Simpsons and Southpark are not funny to me at all.

Then you don't have a sense of humor.

Episode was good, but it was more about making fun of people who don't defend freedom of speech/People for being genuine pussies. It wasn't really a big slam against family guy.

Exactly. It was making fun Comedy Central, Scientologists, thier own show and american people being morons about freedom of speech (shown thru the Muslim Cartoon).

Yeah, I agree Family Guy has dropped off. I don't even watch it anymore as I watched through season 5 episode 6 or something but got bored with it. I watch South Park in spurts as I don't really watch TV much at all. I like how South Park takes jabs at relatively current issues as well as making fun of the high and mighties.

I can watch Family Guy, but after a while the randomness wears off and it's just another show. I haven't regularly watched the Simpsons in a very long time, but I did catch the Sideshow Bob as mayor in Italy episode, which I enjoyed. However, it's lost my interest.

The moral of the story is TV is dumb.

Family Guy is as strong as ever imo. I didn't think the new episodes would be good, but lordy was the Osama opening genius.

The Family Guy/Mohammad/Bury your head in sand episode wasn't that funny so far, I'm hoping they save it with the 2nd half.

I have sat through whole episodes of Family guy without cracking a smile. I get the jokes, but I just don't think they're funny. They make me laugh once in a while, but South Park is so much more creative. The Simpsons have gotten stale for me the last few years, but as a body of work there's no animated show that even comes close to touching them.

As South Park demonstrated in the short family-guy-like clip, it is ridiculously easy to craft a show with a crummy story, formulaic jokes, and non-stop 80s references. What Matt and Trey do is much more intelligent and creative than Mac can ever hope to achieve.
